Pack #1 will be available for free
Valve officially announced today that Portal 2 will be receiving additional downloadable content in the near future.
While not much in the way of details has been made available at the present time, Valve has confirmed that Portal 2 DLC #1 "will offer new test chambers for players, leaderboards, challenge mode for single and multiplayer modes, and more".
They also confirmed that the DLC has a Summer launch window and that it will be absolutely free of charge.

Still really excited for this. Hoping to get the 1000 this weekend. Definitely looking forward to more reasons to go back to this awesome game. :D |

| Free DLC for a game that would be questionable in value without. Good move on Valve's part. |

I'm guessing that any game that is big enough gets automatic exemption. |

| Fucking luv Valve! These guys always do right by the gamers. Their L4D dlcs would hav been free too if they had their way, but EA and Microsoft like being douchebags. Thank Valve! |

| Challenge mode should have been in from the start, but I can't complain about the other content or the price of the DLC. Thanks, Valve! |

Maybe that's changed! |

I don't see why this couldn't have achievements. |

MS just makes things up as they go along.
Here's hoping for some more challenging puzzles. I felt like the singleplayer was too easy. |
