Another title bails from the holiday season
There's a very cyclical element to game release announcements. Often times, a company will announce a title at a big press event, such as next month's E3, which they intend to release during the following holiday season. Then, time passes and we don't hear too much until the springtime announcement that the title has been pushed back to avoid the crowds before it's eventually released sometime between January and March the following year.
The latest victim of the cycle is Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Ubisoft officially announced today that the latest Ghost Recon title will be pushed back to the first three months of 2012 to avoid a holiday season full of competition, likely including that of another Ubisoft property, Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
This isn't the first delay for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, but we can at least hope that it's the last!

| Doesn't really look any different to GRAW to be honest, even though before they announced it they said it wouldn't be. |

| I think it looks pretty good. I only thought most of the Ghost Recon games were decent, but this looks like it'll be up with the ones I really enjoyed. I'm not surprised though, when you get a game this big, delaying makes people want it even more... even though a much smaller amount want it less. |

| I'm not surprised. The gameplay honestly looked like it was in a testing stage, rather than a near-finished product. |

| Future soldier delayed? Shocked...maybe if they changed the title to Assassin's Creed: Future Ghost Soldier it would come out on time. |

| Can't say I'm surprised. They shouldn't bother announcing release dates until they know the product is finished...unless this is some sort of way to get popular faster by teasing your fans. |
You seem a little furious... |

Ghost Recon: Forever.
Ubisoft needs to give me a reason to care about this game. I loved the old school tactical GRs, and if this just becomes another COD/Battlefield knock off I'm not even going to bother. |
