For those already suffering from post-Beta withdrawal, Epic saw it fit today to deliver the details of the Limited Edition packages for their upcoming title, Gears of War 3.
As noted in a previous post, Gears of War 3 will be shipped a "Standard Edition" variety as well as two special editions, namely a "Limited Edition" and an "Epic Edition."
The Limited Edition

o An Octus Award Box with Octus Service Medal – A 1:1 match in size and weight, this zinc-alloy cog-shaped medal replicates the award given to Adam Fenix in recognition of his work on the Hammer of Dawn.

o Exclusive Unlockable Adam Fenix Multiplayer Character – Each Octus Service Medal replica is engraved with a unique Xbox LIVE code that is the only way to unlock Adam Fenix in multiplayer.

The Epic Edition will only be available at Game and Gamestation in the UK. While the US list of exclusive retailers has not been released, Gamestop has been taking pre-orders for the Epic and Limited Editions since they were originally revealed.
Epic also released a video documentary today showcasing "The Wicked Workshop", the space in which Art Director Chris Perna designed the creatures which we've come to know throughout the Gears of War Series.

The Limited Edition will set you back £59.99/$79.99. The Epic Edition, on the other hand, will cost £99.99/$149.99. Gears of War 3 is still scheduled to be available through most of the world on September 20th, with Japan having to wait two extra days till it arrives there on September 22nd. |

| I definitely pre-ordered the Epic Edition looooong ago and will be keeping my money where it is. I just love collectibles. As long as that statue is of a higher quality than the plasma cutter in Dead Space 2, I'll be happy. :) |

| The statue is nice but with all the blockbusters coming out I will just get the limited edition. Kinda sucks since I am a big gears fan but the weapon skins and statue are not worth it, but great job on the limited edition, looks well worth it. |
