Opening cutscene released as well
It's been nearly three months since Double Fine revealed, the third of its four promised XBLA titles, Trenched was in development.
Today, Double Fine boss Tim Schafer tweeted the the game will arrive on June 22nd, 2011. He also pointed us to the intro cinematic for the title.

For those who are not aware, Trenched is a tower defense shooter coming exclusively to the Xbox Live Arcade. Like previous Double Fine offerings, Costume Quest and Stacking, Trenched will run you 1200 MSP. |

| YAY!!!! Tim Schafer is a video game genius. Look forward to this! Please make a Psychonauts sequel.....or bring the original to XBLA. That game with achievements would be sooooo awesome! |

| Apparently the version of this they were showing wasn't that great. Not terrible, but nothing that interesting. Hopefully they've tweaked it since. |

| Absolutely love the work of Double Fine. The art is often amazing and the storylines quirky and interesting. However, they seem to be somewhat short, so I will wait until the price drops to buy Trenched, as I did with Costume Quest and Stacking. |

| Got a chance to play Trenched at the PaxEast this year. It was a great game, it was like a Double Fine version of firefight! There are different grades of guns from quick fast light weapons, to slow heavy weapons. I played along with three others and we each had different platforms, plus as you kill the enemy you gain point which you then can use to call in stationary weapon platforms such as AA or missile launchers. I enjoyed the game very much so. |

| Oh no, I meant I will wait for Trenched like I waited for the other two. Sadly, yeah, I am still waiting for Stacking, that is definitely true. I'm a little perturbed that there hasn't been even one sale for it. |

| now time to announce brutal legend 2 and the voice talents all returning with the addition of-jason segal as the skins man! bcuz the sequel shall be co op for the ultimate double team ups! then with even more metal guest to be added!!! |

Could go for some more tower defense games. Surprised to see somebody cares about Brutal Legend 2...didn't really see too many fans of it.  |
