First video of the sequel to Metro 2033
Update: More details about Metro: Last Light were revealed by THQ today. While it may not confirm too much we didn't already expect, it does at the very least confirm there will be multiplayer.

The new trailer doesn't show much, and that's by design as the game is early in development and not all of the elements which will exist in the final product are determined as yet. What's important is that we now officially know that game development is underway and that we can expect to hear more about it in the coming months.
Metro: Last Light is currently expected to arrive some time in 2012.

Most people do think the 1st game was terrible, but that was most likely because it did not have online play.
People I know, enjoyed this game for its atmosphere and fairly unique setting. I know I did, I enjoyed the story. I thought THQ said a few months back, that they were moving on to Metro 2034 the next book in the series? |

I am going to go back and give it a second try (mostly just because the missing achievements are bugging me) but I hated every second of it on my first go.
It has nothing to do with multiplayer. I love single player and applaud any game that focuses on the single player instead of attaching a crappy MP.
I hated it because the sneaking was crap. (Maybe I should just run and gun and not worry about sneaking?) The shooting felt terrible. It was so hard to tell if you were even hitting the enemy sometimes. They didn't react to the shot or do much of anything when hit. The gas mask refill also glitched on me all the time.
I admit I only played 2 hours so maybe it gets much better later in the game, but I do not get how people can say this is such an underrated great game with what I've seen. I really hope my second try proves me wrong and I discover this diamond in the rough everyone else keeps going on about. |

| I hardly played the first game before I sacked it off. I'll give it another go at some point, but the news of a sequel is a solid meh from me. |

| Get the first one lying in a pile of games to play (I only buy preowned under £15 so cut me some slack). The comments in this thread just make me want to play it more. |
