Why did a make a thread named Why?
Why am I typing this?
Why are you reading this?
Why is the single best question out there. You can add it to anything. I decided to make a thread where someone asks a question starting with why and the next person answers it and then makes a why question for the next person.
Rules:
-Questions must begin with why
-Must answer question before you and make a new question for the next person
-Any question goes, no matter how serious or silly(just keep it pg-13, and avoid personal questions)
-Do not respond with one or two word answers(Example;Why not? Because I said so, etc...)
Example:
Poster 1: Why did I just eat a twinkie?
Poster 2: Because you are fat. Why can't penguins fly?
Poster 3: Because penguins have adapted to only swim, and they are very stupid. Why is bacon the best food in the world?
...
So I will start this off with a question of my own.

Because you are limited by simple Newton physics, aka the speed of light vs mass. Not only that but humans are living organisms. Machines such as fax machines can rebuild atom/data structures from another area's signal, but to do that with a living organism would cause death as we know it. Not only that but to measure the human data structure in it's entirely down to the millimeter requires 10^11 bits. To do so on a molecular level requires 10^32 bits. Transferring this much information would surely mean it's much quicker to walk as this would take centuries with today's technology. Hopefully the LHC figures something crazy like that out one day - Go Quantum Physics!
However....Star Trek has it figured out, one day the writers will tell us the truth of jump speed.

| I don't have an inteligent scientific NightStalkar answere but I beleive the sky never stops being blue it's just not lit up a night there for you can't see the blue, plus it might have something to do with ultra violet light from the sun that gives us the impresion of blue (I just made that up as I went along). Why does pizza (minus pineapples) taste like heaven? |

Because you don't live in Canada where we have common sense with dogs & buns both coming in packs of 12.
