Same login - You use your gamertag to login. We can't have gamertags on a PS3 site

Same forum - Like mentioned above, fights would break out. Plus, we would need so many different topics that it would create more clutter.

Same badges - Ok, well I guess there's nothing really wrong with this, but it would probably end up cluttering the home pages of users or something, haha.

I'm just not a fan of the idea. I don't think "truetrophies" would work without a score anyways. Maybe we can do something else cool for the PS3 guys?
Maybe you dont sign in with your gamertag anymore, maybe you sign in with a username. Then that username has your gamertag and/or psn id attached to it.

Quite possibly.

I have to finish the code for the Gaming/Boosting Sessions, and then I will have a look and see if I can get a scanner working.

If that's all good then I might take a week off work and create it.

Would it not make sense to just give all trophies the same amount of points (whether they be bronze, silver or gold) like 20 points, and maybe give a platinum trophy a bonus set amount of score like 100 or something.

That way, if there are 40-50 trophies standardly for a game (roughly what xbox games have as achievements) then;

40 trophies x 20 points = 800
plus
100 bonus for completion = 900 total.

or you could just give 25 points per trophy, and no bonus for platinum. then if there are 40 throphies, it'd be 1,000 points, which then can be TT'd.

That way, it'd be good to see how some ps3 trophy hunters compare to use xbox users.

That way, the TT score would be relative. i.e. harder the trophy, higher the TT score.

I hope thats easy enough to follow :)

edit: or you could just do 1,000 / number of trophies = point per trophy.
then multiply that by the TT ratio.

obviously, for PSN arcade games, it'd be 200/number of trophies.

Then it practically would be TA for ps3

That 1000/# of trophies idea likely won't work. Their rules are very different.

laugh truetrophies

I can't help but think we'll never become an official xbox live community developer by whoring ourselves out on another console. But at this point, maybe it's not likely anyways.

My thoughts are all biased because of my strong disliking for Sony and PS3, so I'll stay away from this

But good luck!

I don't think it should be like that because obviously the silver are harder to get than the bronze and the gold more than both, so shouldn't they be given more points?

That's just my opinion. And if this actually happens, then I might have to go get a PS3.

Maybe the trophies shouldn't have a numerical value, just ratios?
And just list how many of each trophy type someone has (i.e. TrueAchievement has 1 Platinum, 10 Golds, 25 Silvers and 50 Bronze trophies), or something like that?

That would seem obvious, but isn't that how this site was created? Giving achievements a score based more on difficulty or availabilty rather than the value given by the big corp.

Well my understanding is each trophy is worth XP, as you gain the XP you go up in level. So TT should be an adjusted XP value for certain trophy. Then this adjusted XP # would be your True Level.
