No surprises really
SEGA, whose most recent games include Virtua Tennis 4, Thor: God of Thunder and Sonic 4: Episode I (WP), has announced their release schedule for 2011 - 2012. Here is a list of their planned releases, complete with a link to the latest information for each:
• Captain America: Super Soldier - July 15th, 2011 (July 14th in Australia; July 19th in North America) The E3 trailer can be found here.
• Rise of Nightmares - September 2011 The latest gameplay trailer can be found here.
• Sonic Generations - November 2011 The E3 trailer can be found here, but don't forget about the time-sensitive demo either!
• Anarchy Reigns - January 2012 The E3 trailer and screenshots can be found here.
• Aliens: Colonial Marines - Spring 2012 The extended version of the latest trailer can be found here.
• London 2012 - The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games - 2012 The announcement details can be found here, but little information is currently known about this game.
The release schedule is not very specific, and some of the dates were known already. However, there is a fair mix of titles coming over the next few months, and there should be something there to please everybody. We'll let you know when the release dates become more specific! |

| Sonic Generations slightly has my interest, I expect it to disappoint though (as the last few Sonic games did). Video game of the olympic games? LOL oh man... |

Out of those, Rise of Nightmares is the most interesting one to me. It should be the game that shows Kinect is serious about going after a mature demographic as well as the more "kiddy" stuff like pet things and dancing games. I'm excited for the chance to see a House of the Dead style game on the peripheral.
Also, I hope the new Sonic pleasantly surprises me, haven't heard great things about the demo, but that is just a demo and nothing more. 3D Sonic has been left behind since Sonic Heroes to me, but they're still pretty solid, not spectacular though. I want a game in the series that wows me, haven't been wowed since Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on the Gamecube. |

| Aliens: Colonial Marines has had my interest piqued since it was on the cover of Game Informer. Hopefully it will be as much fun killing xenomorphs co-op as the old Aliens vs. Predators arcade game. |

| London 2012 sounds like a low budget disaster movie. |

| Anarchy Reigns and Sonic Generations have captured my interest. Not enough for me to buy day 1, but I will probably get both of them eventually. |

| Well, I'm a sucker for games based on the Olympics games (I rather sadly own all the non-Nintendo ones since the 2000 Olympics, which is still the best IMO), so I guess I'll be buying that. As for Sonic Generations... I don't know, I'm tempted after finding my love for Sonic again earlier in the year. |

So, since Sega currently holds the rights, then I guess it's buried for the unforeseeable future.
I want it on XBLA so bad. Way more than Simpsons. |
