A heaping helping of new footage from the soccer title
Konami released a whole playlist of videos today for its upcoming entry in the Pro Evolution Soccer series, PES 2012.
In the videos, European PES Team Leader Jon Murphy talks us through various elements of the title's gameplay mechanics. Konami has noted in the past that PES 2012 will see marked improvements over its predecessors, and they are certainly hoping these videos will convince you that such is the case.

Dummy runs and off the ball controls. Two pretty good additions in my eyes.
Now for it to someday be good enough to compete with FIFA again in the global market. I myself am a fan of both actually. |

I was going to say all the FIFA fanboy scum would be arriving soon,
however I see one is already here.
I cant wait to get a hold of this, some great videos, I seen other websites slating these clips due to the new physics for tackles and collisions.
I just hope we get Arsenal, not Spurs! |

| I don't think the average player would really look at all the new mechanics in a video as oppose to just playing the game to see it in action |

Pretty thrilled with the addition of overlap runs.
One of the most annoying things of the past couple of years was that the players would just stand still. |

He kinda did say he's a fan of both, as am I.
I do find it hilarious that FIFA is making game changing advancements...
HOWEVER, NOW ON PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER...RUN DIAGONALLY!
it's on a par with Giant Enemy Crab |

| I prefer FIFA over PES. To me PES just hasn't done anything to really grab new players. |

Was a massive FIFA fan and then PES came along on PS1, after that i wouldnt even entertain a FIFA game, right up until the current gen and PES seemed to just stand still while FIFA went on and improved and put itself back on top.
My worry is that now there is no real competition again, FIFA will just let the game slide again (FIFA 11s servers didnt convince me otherwise) so im hoping Konami wake up and make PES the game it deserves to be again! |

| Well they say they are trying to improve the game, FIFA will always be the better game, as it is more realistic, look at the team names, also the gameplay is probably better now with the 360 control system, but i always found PES has always been the least responsive of the football, as it tends to be pretty slow to react, unlike FIFA 11 which is easy to play |

You could always run Diagonally in PES since the PS1 days of ISS.
However what about FIFA?
NEW PLAYER PERSONALITY + !!
Whats that crap? The players now get emotional and demand 300k a week or they will leave for Man Citeh?
Anyway, FIFA 11 servers are rubbish, but the lag on all PES games is ridiculous, I guess thats either down to bad servers, or the fact that most FIFA nas PES players are 11 year olds running on Tesco Snails Pace dial up!
I wasn't talking about Smurfquake when I mentioned "FIFA fanboy scum", he left a good comment, like he always does, ON EVERY ARTICLE ! lol :P
What annoys me is everyone picks Barca, Inter or Real, and when I am 4 nil up at half time using Arsenal, they rage quit. |

I always have Tottenham highlighted to try and initiate an understanding of a fair match. Then I see their icon jump straight from Man U to Real Madrid. If I have the chops to move from Tottenham to Barcelona, like I often do with the Madrid lovers they usually end up quitting. Don't mind dumping on Spurs but when it comes to a match they think they could ever possibly lose they don't play. I just don't see the point. |

I myself am a fan of both actually.I don't know if this game will get the shot it deserves when compared to FIFA, though the improvements this year are solid. Both games are solid, people just don't need two games for the same sport, hence why I think the Madden games don't have any competition really. Then again that's just a guess... |
You seem a little furious... |

| Used to be hardcore PES, until I tried FIFA09 after PES09 stinking up the place. The sort of player movement highlighted here FIFA take for granted now. |
