Superb reviews don't guarantee financial success
Here's a slice of news which you may find surprising. The incredibly well received Bulletstorm has been something of a failure when it comes to translating success into cash.
Speaking to Kotaku, Mike Capps, the president of developer Epic, phrased it quite simply, "[it] didn't make money for us". Capps continued on to say that they had "shipped AAA content", and seemed comfortable in the knowledge that the financial gloom wasn't the result of a poor product. Thankfully, far from call it a defeat and move away from People Can Fly (the developers behind Bulletstorm), Capps noted that "the next thing we do with People Can Fly will be great".
Wisely it would seem that this is seen as an exercise in setting the foundations upon which to build future successes, both in terms of AAA title delivery and money in the bank. |

| Brought this game new last week but could this be a side effect of the online pass i wonder cause the game was good (apart from all my progress being reset lastnite). |

| The campaign was decent enough I thought. Although I do have to admit, this game gets shit boring after a few hours. |

Use the momentum from the the first title and continue to build upon it. |

| Reviews are pretty irrelevant most of the time anyway. Superb reviews mean very little, since a lot of reviewers are afraid to challenge the status quo. If a game is supposed to be good, it'll get great reviews with little actual critical thought. |

Maybe people listened to FOX news and didn't get it because they didn't want to go rape someone right after playing it.
Personally i didn't like the whole idea of being forced to be creative with my kills.
If i want to drink whiskey, slide tackle an enemy, lasso him towards me, kick him in the balls, lasso him again, kick him in the head, shoot a flare up his arse which sends him up in the air into an electric cable causing him to explode, resulting in and elevator shaft to fall onto a group of enemies killing them all in an orgy of blood and gore........Then i'd do it when i wanted and not when some game mechanic says i should otherwise i get not points. |

| The online pass is my first guess. My second guess would be that this game is all about getting high scores on the leaderboards and leaderboards get hacked all of the time, so what is the point. My third guess is that the cover art to the game looked pretty corny which suggests the game inside is just as bad to the casual gamer. |

would of sold even less if it was not for the gow3 beta
Am waiting for the DLC to go on sale (as am sure a lot of people are) 400msp each is what am willing to pay.
that will bring in a little bit more money for the developers |

| this game was freaking great maybe not the dlc because i did not buy it but it was sweet the main guy was funny as hell and the game was worth it to me just not a good enough online to keep me on hope they make a new one it would be soo worth it |

When I saw the cover I thought of Fracture, and was worried it might be of a similar quality! Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised...  |
