How far can you go?
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or in a rainforest tribe with no outside contact to the world, the Call of Duty series has been dominating the sales and Xbox Live charts the past few years. Activision looks to continue that success with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Today, they released a gameplay trailer for Spec Ops Survival, a co-op mode where you test your skills against waves of enemies.
In Survival, you will fight off waves of increasingly difficult enemies as you earn XP and unlock several types of armories to expand your arsenal and load-out customizations along the way.
Unlock new upgrades and missions as you gain XP and increase in level throughout the Survival experience. Survival Challenges along with leaderboards allow you to compete against your friends and prove once for all, who is the best soldierhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxDQ2Ow-VfI
There are tons of features that can be seen in the video; friendly reinforcements, weapon upgrades, killstreak rewards, attack dogs, riot shields, Juggernauts and much more. Fans of zombies from Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: World at War are sure to find plenty to like here, or perhaps those who wanted a survival type affair but in the Modern Warfare setting.
If straight up multiplayer is more your thing, you'll have to wait for the multiplayer world premiere at the Call of Duty XP event in Los Angeles running September 2nd-3rd, so stay tuned to TrueAchievements for more MW3 news and details.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 releases November 8th, 2011.

| Spec Ops Survival looks like its actually a very fun game mode. Much better than that zombie crap. |

"Enemy attack dogs near your position. Be advised, they are carrying expolsives"
Exploding dogs!? Could be interesting to see how (and if) that is implemented in regular multiplayer. I'm prefering the look of this style of survival (ie. larger maps with no fixed spawns) to the Nazi Zombie type. |
Multiplayer progress in GTA IV reset. Slightly annoyed. $3,003,137 out of $5,000,000. |

| this proves that they did not put any effort into changing the core game at all because they claim that 2 players is "more fun" than 4 players which we all know is bull because it is definitely not more fun. they were just too lazy to modify it so that it could play 4 players so they just used the old spec ops engine they already had |

Honestly, I was going to buy this game just for the sake of buying it.
Now, I have a legitimate reason. Faith restored. I want this game. |

Please IW, don't make me buy ANOTHER CoD. This looks fun, but when I get it, I'll probably be disappointed just like I was with the past 2 CoD games... I'm not buying this, Survival looks fun though..

| Unimpressed. We've seen a variation of this game mode in countless other titles. CoD hasn't changed since Modern Warfare. I want to see something new and different. Not just some over-used, slightly-modified version of Horde, Zombies, etc. |
