Dante's controversial new look on display
The biggest news about the upcoming origin story, DmC: Devil May Cry, probably wasn't that it is being co-developed with famed studio Ninja Theory, but that Dante now sports a darker, edgier look. Not to mention he's thin and scrawny! Certainly a departure from the last installment, Devil May Cry 4. Capcom admitted it was a bold move and understood there would be backlash. For the most part, Capcom has stood their ground, although it looks like Dante's look has been tweaked ever so slightly in the new gameplay trailer and screens. Dante appears to have a somewhat cleaner look, and grabbed something to eat too. The difference looks subtle, but you can judge for yourself below as you check out some scythe and gun play action:

Personally, I really liked Dante's new look when first unveiled, but really, if the stylish gameplay is fun and solid, who cares? Unfortunately, we don't know when we'll get our hands on this, as DmC: Devil May Cry currently has no set release date.

The new look is definitely bold (in a good way imo), and the gameplay looks like it will be as solid as ever. I just wish I was better at these types of games... |

Thought the ran at 30fps less than capcoms engine. |

| Loving the scythe! I don't mind the look of the new dante (aka skinny nero) but hope they scale the difficulty down just a tiny bit. Love a challenge, but not a near impossible one. Super Meat Boy hard, not DMC4 hard. |

That's Dante when he's young. He looks like the older Dante when he's in Devil Trigger because he's using more of his devil side.
He's half-human. |

That makes me think he may return to his former, white-haired glory toward the game's conclusion. I have hope it'll be a good DMC. I just really did not care for DMC 4. |
