| ok so i havn't played this game in a really long time, popped it in yesterday and all this crap comes up about subscribing and getting some kind of virus and durring the game there's this scrolling messeges on the screen about it also getting in the way, and the same ppl that are scrolling this crap i can't kill. what the hell how do i get rid of that or do i just deal with it? it's completely ruining online mulitplayer grrr. thanks for any help |

WaW's MP has been hacked, slashed, gashed, trashed, glitched and completely ripped apart, the funeral took place a few months ago but the modders are still bouncing around on the grave...
Time to to make the shift to CoD:BO or IW's MW2 or upcoming MW3 I'm afraid. |

Shows how much treyarch actually care.True indeed. It's a well known fact that modders were here and there on WaW anyway (well there on most games really), but to just let the games MP get trashed so badly and left to wither and die like this!!! Shame......... the shame.
Had some pretty sweet times with WaW's MP so I left on a good note, but now, ya know.  |

| thanks tsunamishadow for the lesson hahahha. thanks for the rest of you at least i know it's not just me who's seeing all this. truely ruined the game for me being that was my fav mp. oh well :( anyone know if there's any attempt to get rid of this crap or does treyarch just figure since theres other CoD's we'll just play those 1s now? lol |

| I doubt it will be fixed. Remember back in the days of COD2? Where poor programming only existed if you went out of your way, and nobody cared about stats and score and unlocks and weapons and people played just for a laugh?

| Yeah it's very sad. If you're lucky you can get into a non-hacked lobby once in a while, but don't count on it. My favorite cod (and first) has been ruined, and the only reason I'd ever pick it up again is for zombies and campaign. Hackers just have no respect. Cod 4 has been hacked and some of it still is but not to the degree of gruesomeness as W@W. MW2 is very rare to find a hacked lobby, but there are SOME. |

| I heard that something like 1/3 of all bans/suspensions MS hands out are from WaW modders, so at least Microsoft seems to be slightly dealing with it. |

| It is still possible to find a good game on World At War, try search for Mercenary Team Deathmatch. And to the person above, Call of Duty 4 is also hacked. |

Just reading your comments about W@W and i gotta say im shocked. Does this stuff really go on were people destroy the MP by modding/hacking or whatever its called? Forgive my niavity but i rarely play MP in any game that long (maybe 1 or 2 months) then move onto other games. What possible benefit do people get from doing this to MP, what do they actually gain?
I honestly didnt realise this went on as i thought the MP in old games just dies because lack of interest. It sad really. |

It sad really.What happens in W@W is some rainbow text pops up on the side of the screen advertising crap, then sometimes dogs are immediately called in at the beginning of the match, and those people are flying around and in god mode. |

| Exact same happened to me. Couldn't kill the guys, but got Xp every time I shot them enough to kill them (if that makes sense) Also one of them had a one shot kill gun... it was a finger... |

| The text on the side of the screen doesn't bother me too much, but when there is players in the game that can not be killed it defeats the purpose of trying to win or even bother playing. The sad thing is I don't think Treyarch will fix it, or Infinity Ward, they are too busy working on the next installments in the series. |

| Anyone verify the fix? I have black ops but have been wanting a taste of w@w. Saw it at wal mart for 20 bucks and i love the zombie modes. Are all achievements still obtainable? |
