Wreak havoc on the road
A new trailer for the latest instalment of the Burnout franchise has come crashing out of the Gamescom event in Cologne. Players are tasked with wreaking havoc behind the wheel as they crash into vehicles and generally destroy everything in sight in the upcoming Xbox LIVE Arcade offering Burnout Crash.
As well as simply crashing into other vehicles, the trailer demonstrates other methods of causing wanton destruction. Send rockets spiralling towards innocent motorists. Summon asteroids, lightning strikes and hurricanes. Bear in mind, though, that it is likely to be the chains of explosions that net you the most points.

Burnout Crash is due to be released in August / Fall 2011. A price is yet to be confirmed.

| This would have been soooooo much better if it was an entire game of crash mode from burnout 3 and revenge, but this just looks stupid... |

| Not going to lie, I thought Burnout Crash was a retail game and this was showing some previous gen version I had missed out on to say that old school crash mode was back. Then the "new version" game play never showed up and I was left confused... I'm a little underwhelmed when comparing it to Burnouts of the past. Sure it will be decent fun but not the experience I was hoping for when I read about it a week or two ago. |
I aim to misbehave! |

| My favourite aspect of the Burnout games was always the vivid and exciting chains of destruction you could cause in the Crash Junctions (which were poorly replaced by the one-trick "Showtime" pony in Burnout Paradise) -- but this looks to take away everything that was good about them and instead gives us a fixed-camera, toy-car view. Might be fun taken solely on it's own, but I doubt it will satisfy anyone looking for some actual Crash Junction type of fun and action. |

| This is dreadful. PS1 games were more engaging than this. I mean what are you trying to do? Just crash on the same patch of road over and over again and then just wait as more and more cars just pile into you? |

Kinect integration is becoming all the rage these days, and, as such, Burnout CRASH! will be utilizing the device. The game will feature a specific gameplay mode designed for Kinect wherein two teams can play locally using gesture controls in a party battle. |
