New modes & gameplay features detailed too
Konami has confirmed the cover star for the latest instalment in their Pro Evolution Soccer series, PES 2012. If I told you that he's in one of these screenshots, can you guess who it is?

Got it yet? Well it's tough if you haven't, because I'm about to tell you the answer. The world's most expensive player, Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, will grace the cover of PES 2012, and was previously on the cover of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. European PES Team Leader Jon Murphy explains the decision:
Cristiano Ronaldo embodies everything we are trying to achieve with PES 2012. He is quick, skilful, with an eye for a pass, and devastating in attack. His movement and energy brighten any game, and we are delighted that he has agreed to work with us in the pivotal title in the PES series.And who better to start off the Gamescom trailer than the cover star himself? The trailer does include some footage from the previous gameplay walkthroughs, so those just wanting to watch the new footage will probably want to skip from 1:00 to 2:20. Here there is some footage of the Teammate Control feature in action.

Footage of the Training Challenges started at 3:13. These challenges allow players to refine their set-piece skills i.e. free kicks, improve their normal play skills like dribbling, and get to grips with the numerous possibilities allowed by the new Teammate Control system.
You may have noticed some new modes mentioned within the trailer at 3:38. Football Life is the "umbrella title" that spans the popular Master League and Become A Legend mode, both of which have been enhanced for the new game. Gamers can become a player or a manager, but the title also encompasses the all-new Club Boss mode, where players are able to become a club owner and steer a club fiscally.
Finally, Konami has released details of the new myPES social integration, which will be applied via a release day title update. myPES is a downloadable Facebook application that players connect to in-game via the Personal Data settings. Via this application, players can compare various match stats, or set up leagues and groups with friends. Results from both online and offline matches between two people can be uploaded to the application. Completion of specific goals or tasks will result in bonus in-game rewards, while bonuses for the use of the app itself will also be offered. Konami also states that hidden bonuses will contain further surprises.

Do they actually show the cover in the videos?
I'm happy Ronaldo is on the cover, he has been unstoppable in Spain and I was fed up looking at Messi for the past 3 or 4 games.
Cant wait for this, just hope they have improved the online stability and connection problems. |

| i use to prefer pes over fifa but then pes got lazy and just release the exact same game every year and the gameplay started to really suffer and was very square gameplay especially as the keepers actions were just weird so unless this gets good reviews then for only the second time in 10 years il be buying a fifa game |
