The game looks to be appropriately bleak

Upcoming XBLA survival/horror title Amy is apparently beginning to come together rather nicely. After all, the recently released Gamescom trailer showed off just how promising the title is beginning to look.

Now, another batch of screens has come in, showing Lana and eight-year-old Amy as they attempt to survive a mysterious virus outbreak.

Amy is still set to arrive on XBLA this Fall. We'll be sure to bring a more targeted date and pricing information once it's revealed.

That looks great for XBLA. I bet the length will suffer because of it's beauty.

This looks refreshing from the usual 'survival horror' out these days. A female lead helping a young girl to survive, very rare to see a female lead and a fresh idea for once instead of the usual male lead.

I'm interested. Hope it won't de-evolve into a shooting fest to attract the impatient, I would be more interested if it was entirely truly survival.

Everyone says its original and I get where they are coming from but I feel like this will be a RE4 protect the annoying girl kinda game... The worst part of RE4.
Achievements are nothing, we get it. But thats not gonna make us stop getting them.

@ Reina Watt
Survivor horrors are rare and a female lead in one is even more rare, well what can you expect? it is after all brutal, bloody and filled with testosterone. The ones with female leads that ive seen usually have 3 things, flashlight, running away and hiding. As i enjoy being scared and keeping my health up i dont want to be completely defenseless.... looking at this game it seems to hit that dead on, but you never know there might be a twist.

A good survival horror game should be able to scare you without giving you infinite ammo in a minigun. Half of the games that try to pass as "survival" horror aren't even what they claim to be. They're just action horror. There's no sense of atmosphere that makes you feel like you're in trouble.

Survival horror is basically nonexistant, so here's hoping this game can do something to feed some life into the genre.
