Coming to Windows Phone as well
The existence of Sonic CD for XBLA was casually revealed in a blog post by Major Nelson detailing the Xbox 360 booth at PAX. Today we now have an announcement trailer from SEGA for the upcoming Sonic port:

You might have noticed too, at the end of the trailer, that Windows Phone was listed along with the Xbox LIVE Arcade platform. Now fans will be able to get achievements on two platforms, as well as on the go. The trailer was short on hard details, but we do know that Sonic CD will feature widescreen support, as well as both the US and the JPN/EU soundtracks. SEGA promises more is in store.
The trailer proclaims that Sonic CD will arrive "this holiday." As always, when we found out more on price, release date(s), and details we'll let you know.

| Can't wait for this, had every old school sonic game back in the day. Now I am re-gathering my collection on the arcade with every sonic game. Can't wait!! |

| Hell yeah. I never really explored each time and I was truly useless at the special stages. Luckily a good achievement list will push me into fully exploring the game - Please let the achivements be more at the difficulty of S1 and 2's list. 3 is a joke and S&K is only slightly easier. 4's Untouchable is just horrible :( |

I never played it on its original console, but I've got it on the Gems Collection for the Gamecube, didn't think much of it, much preferred the Megadrive games.

| I loved my Sega CD, and I got to play some amazing games at the time, that for sure didn't hold up that well. This game might make me take the SCD out of my closet and play some of the other great games I have for the system...and then realize how bad they are. Still, Nostalgia trumps gameplay almost every time. My only hop now is that Out of this world and it sequel are released, as well as Flashback. Both amazing games that should stand the test of time. |

| It's a 2D Sonic game so I will be getting it. I haven't actually played this one so it will be fun to have a completely new experience. I just really hope it's priced like the other old 2D Sonics. It should be 400 points if it is. |
