The robust world that Ubisoft Montreal created for the Assassin's Creed series is one normally only found in deep RPGs. The templars, the assassins, Abstergo Industries, conspiracies, ancient civilizations, Adam and Eve...the list goes on and on. So if there was one adventure series requiring an encyclopedia, it's definitely Assassin's Creed.
The developers pride themselves on their rich mythology created for the game's historical-fiction canon. They also understand that fans of the series expect to be treated like intelligent participants in the unraveling story, which is why the world of Desmond and his ancestors has become so deep with characters, settings, and especially mysteries.

Still, with so many layers, the developers felt it'd be beneficial -and rewarding- for fans to have an Assassin's Creed encyclopedia. The hardcover book comes in black as part of the Animus Edition of Assassin's Creed: Revelations which isn't currently available in North America. However, you can also purchase the white version of the encyclopedia from this link - it is available worldwide as a stand-alone item.
Look for Assassin's Creed: Revelations when it releases on November 15th. |

| I bought the LOST encyclopedia and it is a great add-on for my fanaticism. I think I'll get this too, as I also love this series. |

"Assassin's Creed has been around for a while"
I'm a fan of the Assassin's Creed games but I'd hardly consider a franchise that's been around since 2007 (November) something that's been a round for a while, I'm sure any TA member can name numerous franchises that have been around much longer than that.
The same logic can be applied to the series content, three main games, three handheld games and a facebook "game". Again there are numerous franchises that can equal that as well as the numerous books, comics and videos that Assassin's Creed also has. |
