Your winner, and WWE 12 Cover Star, is...
Just under a month ago, THQ invited people to vote for the cover star for their upcoming title, WWE 12. Gamers could choose either John Cena's "The Champ's Edition" or The Rock's "The People's Edition".

Here's what will be included in "The People's Edition":
Foil sleeve cover packaging featuring The Rock Copy of WWE ’12 videogame The Rock playable in-game character Exclusive Foil Topps Trading Card featuring The Rock Art Image of The Rock WWE Blu-Ray/DVD featuring: - WWE Championship Match – Booker T vs. The Rock – SummerSlam – 19th August, 2001 - Intercontinental Championship Match – Chris Jericho vs. Rob Van Dam – Raw – 16th September, 2002 - World Heavyweight Championship Match – Triple H vs. Kane – Raw – 23rd June, 2003 - 60-Minute Iron Man Match for the WWE Championship – Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar – SmackDown! – 18th September, 2003 - WWE Championship Match – Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio – SmackDown! -18th March, 2004There were no details given as to the price of this Collector's Edition at this time.

| With Cena off the front cover I might actually buy it. Not that I care for the Rock mind you but I loathe Cena. But those extras are pretty tempting especially the DVD/Blu-Ray. |
Looking to boost any MP achievements I don't have for any game I own. |

| He better not be on the cover of the original game, unless he's playable on that as well. Otherwise we might have just as well voted for Eric freakin Bischoff or Brock Lesner. |

| With the exception of the Angle/Lesnar Iron Man Match, what a terrible bunch of matches to put on that bonus DVD. |

What is with those matches?
Booker T - Quit in the middle of the biggest push in his career to leverage a better deal from TNA, is now an announcer
The Rock - Quit years ago, only comes back occasionally to promote something.
Chris Jericho - Seems to have a good relationship with WWE but is not with them at the moment and has so far quit twice to pursue outside interests, including both DWTS and a game show that competed with Raw.
RVD - Showed exactly what the WWE championship meant to him when he got busted by the law while champ(though still one less time than Kurt Angle with Impact) and has been with Impact for quite a while now
Triple H - Working a part-time schedule as he hones his skills behind the scenes preparing for when life inevitably imitates art and he does take over a number of management responsibilities behind the scenes, in addition to the talent recruitment he's been heading up lately
Kane - Hey, an actual full-time roster member, except at the moment he's "injured" and out of commission due to a Mark Henry attack
Kurt Angle - left the WWE to focus on his personal demons - turned around and signed with TNA as soon as he could; has twice been arrested for driving under the influence while TNA/Impact champ
Brock Lesnar - Left the WWE, similar to Booker T, at the top of his career, only to sue them when he felt the non-compete clause they locked him into was too restrictive.
Eddie Guerrero - A legend. Rest in Peace.
Rey Mysterio - Hey, another full-time roster member, except he's also out on injury, which for him seems to be a pretty common occurrence.
Who benefits from these matches getting seen by more people? Triple H doesn't need the rub and Kane and Rey aren't active at the moment to get the benefit. What's the point? |

And, in reference to Smurfquake's mention of the voting results: The Rock had the lead from start to finish, and it was never really in doubt. |
