Bringing in the heavies
Armored Core V made a lot of noise at Gamescom, and emerged with a trailer, gameplay footage and screenshots. The game's appearance at Tokyo Game Show was a little more muted, and we only have some new concept art and screenshots for evidence of it ever being there. However, that does mean that they don't come with irritating fake English accents.
First we have that promised concept art of some of the machinery that players can expect to encounter:

That final piece of art was a Type D No. 5. This mech is the subject of the first set of screenshots:

The Karasawa is another mech to feature in the game:

Moonlight is our final mech to get its own screenshot:

We featured four maps in our Gamescom coverage - Mining Area, Buried Facility, Alpine Base and Abandoned City. We now have screenshots and map plans for a fifth map, Upper Area.

Armored Core V is due to be released sometime in 2012. |

Type D #5 looks like he eats AFs for breakfast.
EDIT : Never mind, considering how big he is, maybe he is one. |
Hey, no complaints here. I prefer eye candy to scary armor any day. - Yuri |

I hope the game maps don't give me tunnel vision like the previous 2 on Xbox. I hope there are some mechs that don't fly...keep some on the ground so we can close our eyes for a brief minute and imagine what Chromehounds 2 would be like!
Cheers |
Closing in on 50k...not sure what I'll do when I get it... |

EDIT : Never mind, considering how big he is, maybe he is one.As much as I disapprove of cannibalism, you are right in saying he looks like he eats the others for breakfast. Assuming he doesn't blow them to bits beforehand... |
You seem a little furious... |

| Looks like the franchise is improving, at least. AC4 and AC:FA were stunning disappointments for me (With most stages being tiny or starting you right at your objective). I really hope this one is better. |
Herp to the Derp! |

The graphics look absolutely beautiful. Can't believe a mech game looks like this on the 360.
I'm really excited, wonder if the achievements will be grindy as hell again.. |
