Contains all sorts of epic-ness
Namco Bandai has released another trailer for its upcoming action title Dark Souls. Our last one focused on whip gameplay, but the one we have for you today takes a whole different approach. The 'All Saints Day' trailer is heavy on the cinematic, attempting to drive home the grand scale and atmosphere of the title.

If you liked what you saw, get a little background from the previously released prologue video.
Dark Souls will be released on October 4th in North America, October 6th in Australia, and October 7th in Europe. |

Bad-fucking-ass trailer! I want to play this so bad.
And if anyone cares: The song playing is called All Saints Day by The Silent Comedy. |

| This keeps looking better and better. I love action games. I hope this one lives up to the hype that they're trying to whip up. |

I need more gameplay trailers, I never played demon souls so I have no reference but that last whip gameplay trailer made me worried the combat is very repetative.
I think most of us could agree though they have mastered the cinematic trailer. |

I think most of us could agree though they have mastered the cinematic trailer. The combat will most definitely not be repetitive. Each weapon in has two attacks, doubled when you dual-hand them, as well as unique combos. Demon's Souls had a great variety of weapons, and I don't see why it would be any different for Dark Souls. I hope they include more weapons like this in Dark Souls: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUcLGqm6eXI |

I, for one, cannot wait for Skyrim. |

I, for one, cannot wait for Skyrim.What. IGN is immensely popular and is known to cater to mainstream interests. I guess believing what's always been true is too inconvenient when it conflicts with what games your interested in. I'm trying pretty hard not to be biased as well, which is why i'll be picking both up. |

I really don't think either game can be elevated over the other outside of personal opinion. They may be in the same genre but they are very different games (based upon experience with their predecessors). I expect both to deliver amazing experiences in their own respective ways. |

| Even though I know they named it after the song "All Saints Day" it still seems like a rip-off from Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day which did it first. |
Into the shadows I fade. |
