Online features detailed too
If EA's FIFA series isn't your ideal soccer/football simulation, perhaps the long-running Pro Evolution Soccer series will better suit your needs. The newest game is focusing on touching up on minor grievances, rather than introducing anything too big.
The Cristiano Ronaldo-starring Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 released some new screens and a trailer in hopes of you pledging your allegiance to Konami's series over EA's.

PES 2012 promises new depth with their online features. Matchmaking has been improved to pair you with opponents with similar play styles. Deliberate game disconnections are punished by disallowing players from joining tourneys and if your online behavior is less than reputable, you'll be paired up with similar griefers and rage quitters.
Facebook integration has also been included in the form of "myPES", a new free application that allows custom leagues to send invites, detail game results, and makes for extra awards to be unlocked.
They're also emphasizing community play, making it possible to have 8-player matches with 4-on-4 teams. Also Communities, like those in the new Madden, can now contain 100 members with a Community message board feature keeping you all connected.
New, deeper create-a-replay modes have been included too, and this and other features are depicted in the new screenshots below.

If Konami's PES 2012 takes another annual backseat to FIFA, it won't be for lack of trying, that's for sure. You can get back on the pitch on October 14th in Europe. The game released on Tuesday in North America. |

I dont get the video, but I love PES!
Even though 70 FIFA fanboys will come in here and trash the game and us fans, and the mods let them away with it because they all love FIFA and hate PES, I will still buy PES and put a lot of time into it.
The only thing I wanted was improved matchmaking, its awesome that quitters will be matched up with quitters! |

| That was terrible. After playing both demos, I thought FIFA 12 was a much better game - so I picked up FIFA and have not been disappointed. |
