Yes, as JMJimmy says, EA's official shutdown website (located here: http://www.ea.com/1/service-updates) still has them as labeled for shutdown on April 13th, yet for some reason they are still up and running. I am waiting for EA to update their entire list to see if they add Burnout to the "Previously Shut Down Online Services" section before removing it from this list.
Until EA stops dragging it's heals on that one though, it will remain on the list with a special note in the first page. |

If so go on try the servers you will be suprised. |

April 13, 2012 -- Online Services Shutdown
* BOOM BLOX Bash Party for Wii * Burnout™ Revenge for Xbox 360 * EA Create for Mac, PC, PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 * EA Sports Active 2.0 for PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 * EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp for Wii * FIFA 10 for PlayStation Portable and Wii * The Godfather™ II for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 * MMA for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 * Need for Speed™ ProStreet for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 * The Saboteur™ (loss of The Midnight Club access) for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 * Spare Parts for PlayStation 3 Xbox 360Now it could be that if you try and view the leaderboards they are shutdown but basic matchmaking is handled by LIVE and as a result you can still earn achievements. It could also be that EA hasn't gotten around to shutting them down but have stopped active maintenance or that they can't repurpose those servers so are just letting them run until they die, etc, etc, etc. There are a million and one reasons why they might be up for the moment and could disappear at any second. Unless you work for EA's Burnout team you can't really know the real situation.
These lists are compiled based on the best information we have at the time (which is quite time consuming to research) and for me at least the best method for dealing with situations like this one is to assume it's shutdown and revise in a few months when the details tend to shake out. I'll go the extra mile on this one and contact EA's Burnout team and see if I can't get any more information into what's really going on.
Edit: I've contacted Criterion Games - I'll see if they respond, if not I'll try one of their producers later this week. |

| Yeah it just seems weird they were apparentley shut down for a week once I got back to xboxlive but I found the games was still fully functioning kind of odd. Not like EA to leave servers online. : ) |

So I received a pretty funny message over XBL from a gamer telling me he was using the list, and thanking me for it, but because I didn't mention exclusive rights to the list, he wasn't giving me credit for the list. I find this funny because I don't know how I could have exclusive rights to what amounts to a compiling of easily findable public knowledge
So here's my new deal: if you want to use the list somewhere else, you can credit me if you want, but you MUST credit the TA community. It wouldn't exist without everyone contributing, all I've done is put our collective knowledge in one place.
I also know this list is horribly out of date, and am looking to update it by the end of the week. Any improvements/suggestions before I get to that point are encouraged, including to my ABC notation system.
And one last question: are those Burnout Revenge servers finally down? |

| Burnout Revenge is 100% still online. I got the game for the announced shutdown but they must have had a change of heart, as servers were up through the date I completed the SP (about a month ago). Matdan is right. |

| When I last checked, everything was up, even uploaded content. This is an EA game - they always host their MP in full. 2K Sports does the hybrid stuff where matchmaking is through LIVE but the add-ons are on their own servers (leagues, uploads, rosters, etc.) |

Didn't know they changed, as I don't touch most 2K Sports or EA Sports bullshit anymore. |
