Stealth and combat in Severnaya
We're less than two weeks away from the release of Activision's GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, so it makes sense that we're beginning to see more videos and screens from the title. Last week, we were treated to several images from the game's multiplayer. This week, the focus is on GoldenEye 007's combat.
So, here it is. Over seven glorious minutes of gameplay footage, taken from the Severnaya portion of the game.

GoldenEye 007: Reloaded will be available on November 1st in North America and November 4th in Europe. Don't forget to take a look at the retailer-specific pre-order incentives so you can decide where to get that pre-order in. |

| Looks alright, but there are too many releases coming out these next few months. Also, the AK has absolutely no recoil...!? |

| This looks more like Call of Bondy rather than the goldeneye I knew and loved on the N64. |

| I like how people forget that this is one of many fps that helped launch the genre so there could be halos and call of dutys. |

Honestly the multiplayer for the N64 version blows away most of the multiplayer in alot of games today. |

| this looks more like a call of duty spinoff than goldeneye from the n64 days, just from looking at the weapons, attachments and regenerative health system. also, i saw no recoil on the weapons fired, im not too sure about multiplayer for this game. |

I thought it was a remake too but I'm still psyched to play it. I'm just torn on when to buy because I pre-ordered MW3 and I know I won't finish this in a week...will end up shelving it temporarily when MW3 comes out. I love when my biggest dilemma is which awesome game to play first haha...life is tough!
I haven't played much of any multiplayer lately so I can live with it if it leaves something to be desired...it will be hard to top what they did for N64 way back when. I am however expecting an awesome single player story so they better not disappoint there! |
Forrest, mama was wrong...life's like a box of achievements...never know which one you're gonna get |

Also unspeakably dull narration during the video. Kind of fits with the look of the game play to be honest. |

This game = awesome. Retail specific preorder dlc already on disc = not awesome. |
This here is what you call domination. It's a combination of skill and concentration. |

Slappers only Rocket Launchers only Knives only Golden Gun mode
Before the original Goldeneye (1997) the major FPS were Wolfenstein (1992 - PC), DOOM (1993 - PC), and Quake (1996 - PC - first major multiplayer FPS).
Goldeneye was probably the first foray into FPS m-player many gamers had interaction with.
From those ground breaking games we got Rainbow Six (1998), Half Life (1998), Medal of Honor (1999), Unreal Tournament (1999), Quake Arena (1999), Counter Strike (1999), Halo (2000), Deus Ex(2000), etc. MoH branched off the CoD series later on.
The only complaint I really had about Goldeneye m-player was the lack of random spawns. |
