Prizes will be awarded in two categories this year, Team and Individual. Prizes to be determined by the time teams are chosen (December 1st) with a list.
Team Prizes: (to be given to each team member)
1st Place: USB HD Personal Video Recorder (likely a Hauppauge, but watching for other models too)
2nd Place: Hori Fighting Stick VX
3rd Place: 8 GB USB Memory Stick
To the 50th Team eliminated: 1600 US MSP for each teammate donated by DrJekl.
Individual Prizes: (to be given to a single gamer)
Most TA score gain throughout the contest: Microsoft Bluetooth Wireless Headset and Silver Wireless Controller with plug & charge pack. (The funky D-pad one)
Random draw for those that complete 5 of 10 Kinect achievements from the list in the post below to occur at the end of the contest: Nyko Zoom for Kinect
Highest TA ratio at noon US Eastern on August 4th, 2012: 1 quart Vermont Maple Syrup
Most TA score earned in the opening week: A NTSC or PAL version of Kinect Sports (depending on appropriate region) donated by http://www.trueachievements.com/tsunamishadow.htm, to be awarded when the winning team is eliminated or the end of the contest, whichever comes sooner.
The individual with the 5th highest TA score increase @ high noon on Easter (Sunday, April 8th - US Eastern time): A new NTSC region copy of http://www.trueachievements.com/Rabbids-AK-xbox-360.htm donated by Angelic Marian
The individual with the 37th highest TA score increase @ high noon on Wednesday, July 4th: A new NTSC region (hardware is universal but games may have region restrictions) Kinect bundle with Fruit Ninja Kinect, The Gunstringer and Kinect Adventures donated by Angelic Marian.
For the week starting January 29th - the individual who starts and completes the most games (retail or arcade - DLC achievements are optional) with a TA ratio of 2.0 or higher as calculated at the end of the week (must declare your game completions in the bonus thread for them to be counted): 5400 UK Microsoft Points donated by Arcane Insanity
(in the case of a tie, the gamer who has completed the highest ratio game from their eligible games will be awarded the prize)
The FIRST gamer to win an achievement with the word FRUIT in the title and a different achievement with the word NINJA in the title wins a copy of Fruit Ninja Kinect: Donated by x Tricky x from the team The Mooks. No one from The Mooks may win this prize. Achievements must be earned ONLINE and be time stamped Feb 26th 2012 or later. Achievements from Fruit Ninja Kinect and Fruit Ninja (WP) are NOT eligiable. Download code has already been provided to the GTASC admins however the correctness of the code is the responsibility of x Tricky x. The code was packed in with a US version of Gunstringer but x Tricky x had already purchased Fruit Ninja previously... his loss is your gain. This DL code may only work for the US marketplace. Once you have completed both achievements post in the BONUS THREAD with a link to the two achievements. First person to make the post (provided everything else checks out) wins.
EDIT: Sorry, the original prize was supposed to be available IMMEDIATELY. It was supposed to read Feb 6th, somehow it was entered as 226 (Feb 26th). As opposed to waiting until that date (or blindsiding people with a 'Available Now') the date you can try to earn this is starting Feb 12th.
AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY - To the first person that can unlock an achievement with the word silver and an achievement with the word control online and post links to them in the GTASC Bonus thread wins a silver Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller w/Play & ChargePack - with the movable D-pad donated by Angelic Marian.
Tiebreaker scenarios for TA gain prizes (if there is a tie for the indicated place):
The person with the highest TA ratio at the time scores were pulled
The person with the highest gamerscore increase at the time when scores were pulled
Prizes offered are subject to availability and may be affected by region. Should a prize be unavailable then an alternative will be offered of similar or lesser value.
We aim to have all prizes sent out by the end of 2012, although we cannot guarantee this nor can we guarantee a delivery time.
Prizes primarily are to be funded by planting42, however, all donations to the competition will be put towards a prize fund and may result in the items offered being replaced with higher value items. Monetary donations are welcome, however, should an individual wish to donate an item for the prize fund, they are welcome to do so. If an individual wishes to donate an item and specify the conditions of winning it, that is also allowed (and encouraged). Any donated prizes should be sent to one of the contest moderators for distribution and be in 'new' condition. We ask that you speak with one of the competition moderators before declaring your intent of donating any items. Due to unforeseen technical difficulties in scanning through each gamer's Kinect games, we are forced to change the requirements for winning this prize. The time required to accurately scan each gamer's Kinect achievements would exceed 24 hours... which wouldn't allow for us to count all points scored while the contest was live. We have prepared the following as a replacement for the original requirement (of scoring the most TA from Kinect games throughout the contest):
For recognition of extreme love of their Kinect, those gamers who complete 5 of the following 10 achievments will be entered into a random draw to win the Nyko Zoom for Kinect.
The Age Before Booty achievement in Dance Central worth 95 pointsPass these moves: Booty Bank, Booty Bump, Booty Down, Moonrise, Moonshine, and Rump Roast.
These achievements must be timestamped to be eligible and when you complete your 5 achievements from this list, you must post in the GTASC Bonus thread for the mods to verify your completion. Only active competitors may claim this prize... this means if you don't complete your 5th achievement and claim eligibility prior to your team being eliminated, you are not eligible to win this prize. |
