Well there you have it... Lost my rank yet again. This one was a level 50-something (2 or 3).
I made the monstrous and frankly unforgivable error of playing the game offline... And i was justly punished...
I'm not a glitcher, i've never had or even been near a level 100 account... I'm just a guy that occasionally forgets to check his ethernet cable is connected.
EPIC, seriously (no pun)... You can't treat customers this way... Penicillin doesn't even treat infections in this way. We all bought your game... We all paid over-the-odds for map packs that added nothing... None of us laughed at how shit the stealth-deleted scene was... AND because we're just that nice, none of us rabbit punched Cliff Bleszinski when the "All Fronts" collection was released for a fraction of the cost of what 99.9% of people had already paid for the game and the combined DLC.
That's it... Im out... |

Oops, wanted to edit and i deleted... here we go again.
I paid a lot of money, i don't think i am owed "something" I am owed "specifics" and i feel i was granted very few of them. So as a consumer i'm pretty disgruntled...
But that latter half rant was really a springboard for my main point... This rank deletion is pretty poor, and given the reverence that EPIC apply to the ranking system and progression through it, i find it doubly unacceptable. |

You play the game offline and your rank gets reset.
Fucking weak. Also if you clear your cache your rank gets reset. |

| That's so ridiculous... EPIC obviously takes their achievements way too seriously to be healthy. I mean, to a point, if the game is purchased, everyone is entitled to that games' gamerscore. I'm definately not for score hacking/glitching whatsoever, but to put a system for monitoring achievements and progress that is so vague as to reset your rank just for being offline is just stupid. I personally don't really even care for the game (never played first either), but I will be forced to endure EPIC's crap when I decide to at least complete the main game (without DLC). This game is the biggest oops I've gotten achievements in... Wish I could erase this and GTA4 from my gs forever... |

Jesus. I just played a local game with my girlfriend and now I've lost my online rank (23), about 200 multiplayer rounds, all the progress towards the mulcher/flamethrower/mortar achievements, my 600+ kills towards seriously 2.0, and all of the collectibles I had amassed in single player (19/41). What an absolute joke!
Whats the point of having a local multiplay option if it is going to seriously penalise anybody who uses it?! |

| this happened to me also. I had level 100 before it happened though. I was still mad because all of that hard work isnt there anymore. months of constant horde boosting. Now im level 16. Im not wanting to even start getting my level up again. |

Months of constant horde boosting?? XBOX.com says something totally different. Like the fact that you went from at least level 15 to level 100 on the same day 9/18/09.

| I'm sorry your rank got deleted dude, it does suck when it happens accidentally. But you could try to look at it differently, like now you'll be able to beast other people in MP as a 1 and they'll be extremely confused lol. Or they'll call you host, or modded, or they'll just quit. |

I lost my 25k kills towards Seriously 2.0 (very sad face!) and level 30 and now I can't play Insane because the game doesn't remember that I beat the campaign on Normal. I completed most of the other relevant achievements like 1999 rounds, 41 collectibles, etc having mostly horde, annex, and wingman acheevs left outside of co-op and hardcore/insane. But the 25k kills towards Seriously 2.0 represents two years of off-and-on playing, with an estimated 5k kills in online multiplayer and the other 20k in horde. I had no intentions of trying to boost that one with the Brumak level so it's quite a setback to say the least.
Wish I knew there were data loss issues before playing local co-op. This sucks =( |

| Wow, I've never had that problem. I guess I've just been lucky, but I've played offline mp with my son, and even cleared my cache a few times in attempts to fix various glitched dlc/ achievements. I've never had my progress reset yet. Thankfully I've made it past the stuff that matters anyway. I got lvl 100 during one of the xp events, and just recently finished seriously 2.0. |

| Level 50 is not that much. If you are very depressed about the time that you lost, wait until the next EXP event. They're doing a big event. I think 30x exp. Just KOTH boost it or even better Guardian boost it. |
