Release date pushed back, though
During E3, Mojang revealed that their wildly popular indie title, Minecraft, would be making its way to the Xbox LIVE Arcade.
We still don't know too much about the title, outside that the Kinect will be used somehow and that it is being developed by 4J, but here's what's new:
First, as per Notch's Twitter, Minecraft will be coming exclusively to the Xbox 360.
Second, the release date for the title has been pushed back from the rapidly approaching "Winter" window, to Spring 2012.
Here are a couple of videos of the game to ease the hurt of having to wait. Yes, they've been floating around a little while, but this will be helpful for those of you who are somehow not familiar with Minecraft yet.

The Xbox iteration of Minecraft will be playable at MineCon, which will take place on November 18th and 19th in Las Vegas. We'll be sure to bring you more news from the Con when it happens. |

| I dont understand why everyone is so obsessed with this game. I know graphics don't make a game, but this game's graphics should not be acceptable by today's standards. It really doesn't look very fun at anyway. |

| Untrue, I have never even messed with the graphics except to edit it so it runs smoother. I love the way it looks, graphics by no means make a game, and besides once you're about 10 hours into playing are you really thinking "look how shitty these blocks look"? No, you are thinking "now, what can I do with this?". At least give the freebie side of it a try before you try to bash it. |

You know when I first heard of Minecraft, I didn't like it since it just seemed boring with poor graphics.
But after playing it at a friends house, I have to admit it's a pretty fun game of survival and creativity. I for one will be buying this XBLA game when it comes out. |
