And that's not the only big piece of news that will come from this year's VGAs
Spike TV's Geoff Keighly tweeted some pretty big news about the television channel's upcoming Video Game Awards, otherwise known as the VGAs.
First, a new Alan Wake game has finally been confirmed. Details are scarce at the moment, but past rumors that the game will be an XBLA title have now been confirmed. We also know the first screenshot for the title will be revealed by Game Informer on Monday, with more details to follow during Spike's VGAs.
In other VGA teaser news, Bioware is set to unveil "a new game from a new studio", and we'll finally get some more information about Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid: Rising, a title which was first revealed during E3 2009.
Spike's VGAs will air on December 10th. Like last year, we'll have a team of hounds monitoring the show so that we can bring you the news as it breaks.

I love Alan Wake to death, but I'm not sure how I feel about "XBLA". That scares me. Either way it's a day-one purchase for me. YAY ALAN WAKE! I still think Barry should get his own game though. |

| Supposedly there is speculation there will be a new trailer for Metal Gear Rising. It is confirmed however that Hideo Kojima will be attending this event so we shall see what is unveiled. |

Keep in mind that Remedy and all associated parties have been really careful not to call it a sequel. Makes me wonder if it's a side story thing meant to test the waters before a full sequel gets green lit.
Whatever it is, it'll be day one for me. :) |

| I heard some bullcrap rumours that it would be released on a new Xbox console. I'm pretty sure that isn't true, though. |

Hello, VGAs... hello, winning this bet. December 10th will be a good day for me, and a real bad day for Dimitri.
Anyway, I was rather lukewarm about Alan Wake. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. We shall see. |

| Hopefully a conclusion to the Alan Wake story!! This will be a Day 1 purchase for me for sure!! I am hoping that the supposed DLC that didn't come out for Alan Wake will make up the XBLA game... Fingers crossed it kicks ass!! |

It will be a spin off, perhaps the Night Springs spin off they talked about.
According to OXM, they are keeping Alan Wake 2 for the next Xbox console.
I'm excited, disappointed and angry at the same time. |

Sucks that it will probably only have 200g tho.. |

For those that don't know Alan Wake was meant to be a title for the PC (GFWL) and Xbox 360 (It was announced at 2005's E3 and was shown behind doors) it was delayed and delayed (Not to mention cancelled on the PC) until it finally released last year :D
Will the same happen with Alan Wake 2 on the Next Gen Consoles or will they make the sequel on this generation of consoles. (Delay Optional though :D) |
