I've been on this board for ages but never said "hello"

I'll be 39 in a couple of months, so yet another 40+ candidate in a year or so.

I have been console gaming since the Colecovision, which were quite rare in the UK (ummmm, I'll have to get it out the loft and do a vlog on that)

Like many of the posts I've read, no wife, no kids for me also, which does leave me time to game, which is helpfull as I've always had this addiction and as it's a lot better than some other addictions people have, so I'm OK with it..

I try to balance out all the hours of sitting, playing, chatting and popping cheivs with a healthy dose of Chi Kung and Tai Chi.

Since joining up to TA it's helped me focus on improving my overall completion percentage and getting my ratio up to a nice respectable level. It's not been easy but it's been worth it.

Also a child of 1973. Loving my game time. The precious little I have now that I have a glorious MechaBaby boy of 13 months of age. So time spent in front of the console has been cut down quite a bit.
Saw the leaderboard and just had to apply. And nice to see I'm not alone in believing the old saying "getting older is mandatory, growing up is a choice" or something to that effect. :)

Game on old farts! GAME ON!

Hello, everyone!

I finally went through some of the leaderboards and decided to join. I'm married with 2 boys, so I tell my wife the gaming time is my quality time with the boys. (Especially since I work nights and only see them for about an hour a day when working.)

I too looked for the 40+ board. I still have a couple years to go, but want to be prepared.

Hi all - also been a member of TA for a while and glad to see there is a place for the oldies to congregate. the Xbox is great but I do find myself digging out the old favourites still - Horace goes Skiing was a masterpiece, who needs Mass Effect?!

Hello everyone,

Glad to be filed under the oldie category, the older the better...! I've found out about this site only a few months ago and it looks cool! I'm looking to make some gaming friends / buddies, I think the only games I don't play are sports and warlike FPS, but just have a quick look at my list if you're interested.
If you need help with a game I have, I'll help, just drop a line (or two) either here or on xboxlive. French, english, spanish and portuguese speakers preferred (didn't mean natives, of course).

Wow...I didn't know that there was a leaderboard just for this.

Just turned 30 back in February 2012. Definitely more chilled out than my 20's and with less time to do gaming than before. Full time job and family keep me to gaming mainly in the evenings and on the weekends when I don't have plans already. Started gaming when I was 5 with the Atari 7800 and jumped for joy when we got our first Nintendo. Cut my teeth on Megaman, Metroid, and Super Mario Bros. and traded up Nintendo systems all the way up through college, but switched to the 360 over the Wii this last time around. Been playing since 2007 and the achievements have kept me hooked.

I'm always happy to help others get achievements and play with new people. TrueAchievements has been a great site for meeting fellow gamers who are like-minded in pursuing completion goals and such!
Light is always relevant.

Hi all! I'm Rebecca, 32 yrs old and currently living in AL in the States; originally from FL. Married, no kids. Been playing since my family's Intellivision, which I messed around on as a tot. RPG nut, also like open-world, do-anything games of other sorts, and pretty much only play single player stuff.
misschiefmaker - Already sucked into Dragon Age 2...wish I weren't going to PAX East this wkend so I could stay home and play it, lol.

Hi! I just stumbled upon this leaderboard a few days ago. I'm 34, also started gaming on Intellivision. I work full-time and have 6 kids. DH also games, but has pretty much abandoned his xbox (and me) for SWTOR, haha. I'm mostly online around 8:30pm EST weekdays, and off and on during weekends. Prefer shooters, especially Halo, but mostly I just enjoy playing with other people.

My name is Stu. 33 year old living just outside London.

Got my Xbox 360 for my birthday in November 2006. Played GOW for about 15 mins then packed away the xbox and left it for about a month. Then I got Broadband installed and haven't looked back since.

Joined TA around May 2011. Gamerscore went from about 36,000 to what it is now :D.

Been gaming all my life. My uncle would always give my brother and I his outdated machines starting with the Spectrum ZX. Then we got an Amstrad, Amiga 500, Snes, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, PS1, PS2, Xbox and the fantastic Xbox 360.

I am a lazy gamer and get frustrated when playing some of these games ( such as Ninja Gaiden 2 and Devil May Cry).

Hate to say this but feel the older you get the worse you get at gaming ( not always the case but certainly is in my book cry )
