EA Sports has revealed that people who pre-order their upcoming street soccer title, FIFA Street, will receive extra content based around Lionel Messi. Messi will be the centerpiece of an adidas™ all-star team along with 12 of the greatest footballers in the world. Perhaps his inclusion as a pre-order incentive isn't too surprising considering he's gracing the cover of the latest edition of the Street franchise as well.
In addition to the ability to play as Messi, who has also just signed a multi-year endorsement deal with EA, pre-orders will also net you an exclusive venue "inspired by street footballers playing in and around the Plaça de Catalunya in the historic center of Barcelona", which Messi himself lent time to designing.
EA has also released a video and several screens of the pre-order content.

so did i get this right... they sign a multi-year deal with messi, put him on the cover but you still don't get to play as him unless you preorder?

| Really enjoyed the first FIFA Street game. Plus, I can probably get my girlfriend to play this with me, as we are both big soccer fans, and not complain about me being on the Xbox. 8-) |

Just remember that this is an EA Game. It's going to be filled with Online Achievements that are going to be impossible to unlock in 2-3 years.
It's going to be filled with cheaters.
It's going to be filled with people that quit when they are about to lose.

| Man, they are going to milk Messi for all he's worth! If he's not in the game from the get go, then what the heck is he doing on the cover?!? I was interested in this but it's turning into a farce - combine that with a ton of online achievements and I think I will pass. |

Messi is the best player in the world, a fact which has been stated by everyone who knows about football.
The three who have said otherwise are clearly idiots, and most likely Man United/Chelsea (so Londoners in both cases) fans or Old Scum fans. |
