Upcoming figher has gone gold; Namco celebrates with tons of screenshots
Namco Bandai gets 2012 rolling with the release of SoulCalibur V at the end of this month. Today they have announced the game has gone gold, and to commemorate they have released a series of new screenshots.
The likes of Algol and Edge Master were revealed earlier, but here they are fleshed out in several different screens. From the looks of it, they will indeed be featured in the boss rush-like Legendary Souls mode. More characters look to be included in Legendary Souls, such as Inferno Cervantes and Nightmare.

The following feature some of the Create-a-Fighters featured in the Quick Play mode, mentioned in our previous coverage. There's even one based off of Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada, seen below. Lastly, we shift away from screenshots to an Inside Xbox video, featuring translated commentary from producer Hisaharu Tago. The translator is sort of hard to understand, but you can gather that Astaroth has gone under some aesthetic changes, as well as developments to his storyline. We also get a glimpse at newcomer Viola beating up on my favorite character, Voldo. How dare you?!!

| I'm still sad that we're not getting Talim, nor apparently anyone with her same fighting style or weapons. Other than her, they seem to have represented each style from previous games (either by putting in the old characters or just younger versions of them.) Regardless - I'm absolutely dying for this game, and it couldn't be a worthier day-one purchase for me. |

Because I remember she was one of the few characters mentioned when they were talking about the game being years later and so she would look older. If they use her as an example without including her in the game, I am disappoint as well. |
