Our first look at Vatra Games' work
After a whole lot of screenshots of Vatra Games' Silent Hill: Downpour, it's about time we had some gameplay video. Senior Associate Producer Tomm Hulett sat down with Gamesradar for a generous fifteen minute gameplay demo. He goes on to reveal a lot of information about the game, expanding on weapon degradation, side-missions, monsters, and a lot more. He even mentions the possible March 6th release date, but until it's officially announced, gamers really shouldn't circle their calendars.

I know the hate on Homecoming is probably going to be the main topic of discussion, but wow this is looking very cool. Not even just thinking about getting it anymore. Definitely will buy. Very excited to get this.

Maybe she just got over laryngitis or something so I may be a little harsh but I would rather listen to myself read the entire bible then hear her talk a second more. |

| In my opinion, this looks awesome. It doesn't look as stiff as Homecoming, though we can't know for sure until we play for ourselves. This footage reassures me that Silent Hill is the king of survival horror. Great stories, haunting music, interesting characters, and brilliant atmosphere. It's the perfect series, even though it has never stood toe-to-toe, graphically, with any other game of its time. It may even make it better that way, I think. |

Plus it would kill the tension if we knew what's gonna happen.
I'm actually glad he didn't show much other than the postman. Especially since the girl was digging for spoilers. |

Well then. That has me pretty much sold on giving this game a try, glad I can do so without an annoying woman asking me every little detail. Clearly she isn't in to playing games if she's asking for spoilers, at least be quiet and let us enjoy the gameplay.
Glad to hear the controls are running a bit smoother, as long as they aren't over simplified for the "Mainstream players" he mentioned, I'll be content. |
