The most revealing footage yet
We've seen a lot of Alan Wake's American Nightmare footage lately -- enough to cause daydreams about the game's release, and nightmares of its enemies. Today's new pair of videos, straight from the CES show floor, highlight another round of the Fight Til Dawn survival mode, as well as some more story gameplay. We're even treated to the Night Springs intro to the game. Don't worry though, spoiler-wary readers, shortly after the introduction, the demo jumps ahead to a later time in the game.

If that isn't enough for Wake fans, new screens of the supernatural thriller have also been made available today.

Alan Wake's American Nightmare is due out during the XBLA House Party promotion, which will take place between February 15th and March 7th. There's plenty of previous coverage to be read, watched, and drooled over, too.

That aside, it's not a "real" sequel, so the shift in format isn't quite as odd as it may appear at first. |

wonder why they didnt use a capture card, wathced the second video and you can see reflections of the screen off people and etc. kinda annoiying |

Thats pretty good for a game that flew in under the radar. its release was over shadowed by red dead redemption. And its obviously not going to sell as well as the halos, cods, or gtas because it has neither the name nor the following.... |

| While it does look good and something I will get on day one. This definitely looks like the commercialization of a cult product. Alan Wake 1 was brilliant in all facets and pretty much bang on perfect. The complaints came from those who were used to modern shit like COD, etc.... remember... 'he can't run very far', 'there's only a couple weapons... where's my akimbo shotguns with ghost perk?'. Sadly, Alan Wake is too brilliant for its time and has to be dumbed down to succeed commercially. Its a shame. I am sure Remedy will still maintain some integrity. |
