Plus new trailer and screenshots
Following on from yesterday's "re-announcement" trailer, Sega have today released further details for the upcoming London 2012™ - The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games.
As previously confirmed, the game will include over thirty Olympic events, each recreated in their official London 2012 arenas. These include a host of events that will be making their debut at the London 2012 Olympics, such as "Keirin (Cycling) at the Velodrome, 10m Synchronised Platform (Diving) at the Aquatics Centre and Trampoline at North Greenwich Arena."
Kinect support will be included, with some events such as the 110m Hurdles and Beach Volleyball offering motion control support exclusively on the Xbox 360.
For the first time in an officially licensed Olympic video game, London 2012™ will support motion control in a number of different events, bringing you even closer to the Olympic Games.http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000036.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000037.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000038.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000039.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000040.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000041.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000042.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000043.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000044.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000045.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000046.jpg http://www.trueachievements.com/customimages/000047.jpg
A large number of game modes will also be on offer, with single player, online and offline multiplayer, party mode and the inclusion of online leaderboards that will track any personal medals won in online multiplayer, and add them to your countries total medal count.
Also released were a number of screenshots and a new trailer detailing the Olympic stadium.

| I'm probably completely opposite of most people here, but I really enjoyed the Vancouver 2010 game. Although I'm worried about Kinect, if there are any games that are Kinect only, I will not be playing this game, especially if any achievements are tied to the kinect only games. |

Same as above, if certain events are Kinect only or if they have Kinect only achievements then I'll stay away. I enjoyed Beijing and Vancouver. Just one achievement in Skeet left!
I really like the idea of online medal count for countries too. |

| I haven't played an official Olympics game since the Nagano Games on the N64, and man was that fun to play (admittedly my expectations as a kid weren't too high). I may have to pick this one up. |
I miss the good old days of WW2 Call of Duty |

Anyway the game looks pretty good, will make a change from all these shitty shooters and sequels that are coming out this year. |

That Online Medal count sound indeed very cool.
Hope this game gives me not so much blisters as Beijing and hope to grab some Medals for NL in Cycling & Swimming.
Events I hope they are not in: Equestrian, Basketball, Badminton, Football, all other team ball sports. |
Game On! |

^ What he said
It does look pretty but the problem with these games is always the gameplay. I love my sport and I always look forward to this but they need to make each sport fun to play, not mindnumbingly boring, repetitive button-mashing or ridiculously impossible. |
