See Tiger getting to grips with Kinect in his latest PGA Tour title
Following the recently released clip demonstrating the new swing control, EA have released a development video, a full demonstration video, and some new screenshots for their upcoming title Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13.
In the first clip, Mike DeVault, the game's lead designer talks us through some of the different features of the Kinect integration.

In the second clip, we are shown members of the development team showing off the game to Tiger himself, who gives his opinion on the Kinect and what he thinks it will bring to the latest title in the franchise.

| I STILL contend that this game is becoming too complicated for the average/casual fan that wants to pick this up and play a few rounds every now and then. EA is doing a disservice to itself by only appealing to hardcore fans for this series. |

I remember playing one of the earlier titles where you had to flick the thumbstick to replicate the golf-swing ... and I thought was an awful action which I never got to grips with so I never really stuck with the game or the franchise. Now recently, I've been playing the golf game in Kinect sports which I actually quite enjoyed as a fun little game.
Having combined the TW:PGA Tour franchise with Kinect seems like a smart move, and I'm curious to see how it works. This could become 'the' golf title in my collection. |

You're right, if they do it on there it's most likely it will be on TW13 |

It's like saying the Forza series is too realistic to pick up for a casual race once in a while (it is). As a real golfer (like... outside), I would pass on a more casual and less realistic implementation of a golf game.
That being said, I find it pretty amusing that the lead designer of a golf game looks like he has a pretty awful golf swing. However, if that's what one must do to get the Kinect to work properly, I guess I'll continue to pass on the device. |
