Coming sooner than you could possibly imagine
Hi-diddly-ho TA neighborinos! Some great news was announced by Konami today, confirming what had seemed evident a while ago: The Simpsons Arcade is coming to XBLA. Joining other classic ports like Sonic and X-Men, the game is being re-released for the arcade market by Backbone Entertainment, and guess what? It's coming out this Friday, February 3rd.
Why the game isn't waiting for a Wednesday like other XBLA titles isn't known, but who's complaining? The game has been priced at 800 MSP. You'll be able to play as different members of the titular family in four-player online co-op and also experience new game modes, new bonus content like a Japanese version of the game, and other menu goodies like classic posters and character bios.
I'm 22 and I remember this game vividly and I'd reckon others my age or older will, too. Tie on your Bartman capes and party like it's 1991! |

| Actually completed this at the arcade once, which is madness (and probably quite pricy at the time, not that I would've known any better at that age). Most definitely buying it straight up! |

It's a policy. That's something x360a does and they do it well.
This is *not* the first time we've covered this game, as we covered the rumor of its arrival in November.
Checking x360a, it doesn't look like they've covered this official release yet, so I don't think this particular critique is warranted! |
