Well. I think I'm a rare species. I find time to play MK for at least a few hours a day and rape noobs of course (add me if you need to go to school ), and of course get as many achievements as I can.
Am I the only one here or what?
Anyone who has this same old schoolers hobby as me post it up! |

Dude this game is absolutely shit, cant believe i wasted my money on this.
The CPU is way too hard even on easy, they spam the same moves and are blatantly overpowered - especially towards the end. The endurance match is just a joke and I find myself having to use one move over and over again to even stand a slight bit of chance of winning.
Something is wrong with anyone who thinks this game is good! I'm surprise the creators of this game haven't been shot and this game covered up and everyone who has played it get flashed with one of those things from Men In Black - because it really is utter w@nk! |

Regardless of how much the counterattacking AI own you in a single player which no one plays. It's been out for a year, but still, if you create a player or rankd match, you will find others in split seconds. Why is this? Because once you become good at the game, you enjoy it more and more. There is no excuse when you lose, like there is in a FPS (such as oh he had to boomshot, or oh he had the rocket launcher, or my shotgun didn't work). It's all you...And for the most part as you get better and better, it becomes like a chess match when you play against other opponents above or near the same skill level. The characters are balanced as well once you learn how to counter attack the cheap ones like smoke and kabal and have a decent understanding of playing with each character.
There is a reason why so many people still play a 14 year old game (probably the same age as you). You being a STRAIGHT NOOB to it, gives you the right to hate it, but not others who play it just because you don't.
I'll agree the sinple player sucks, but again, there is a reason why if you check the records of players online, youll see countless people with huge piles of wins over 10,000 and up. It's a hobby and a GEM to many old schoolers such as myself. It was the only truly competitive game was out before garbage halo and the shit you play now, and there is no excuse for losing at it. |

I play Street Fighter. That is all.
Honestly, I could never get into this series. It's so unbalanced. In hindsight, I'd say Street Fighter has aged better. I'd still like to give MK vs. DC a go.
I have gotten my ass handed to me in UMK3 regularly while trying to get the online achievements. Some of the players online are quite good. Cool to see it still has a following.
Also, Street Fighter easily has a more popular online following. |

| x2i4eva is a dumbass! I'm 13, and think this game is better than most new FPS/RPG/wutever genre games. Its cool how either ur a noob or not at this game. In the new games u can get lucky as hell and own people. But this game takes SKILL, and i respect that. I think a lot of "old school" games r better than the new ones. Great game! |

| i love this game and i joined this site through nightstalkar who i also met on this game at first mk doesnt have a lot of depth to it with just autocombos but if you play enough you can also learn to cancel even if it is really friggin hard to do but honestly people make out mk is just a fighting game with autocombos which require no skill all i have to say is go on youtube watch a combo vid and you try it youll be sursprised its not the most balanced and well made game but its not a cartoony boring game that has 6 kicks and punches i mean i really like street fighter but mk3 is a lot more fun the only problem is the followers of mk tend to be how could you say bums and have no respect for each other and the game and abuse cheap powerful combos but the majority of people who play are just playin purely for fun and cos its a child hood memory also i have 15k wins at the moment and still play every day still while playin other games. |

Anyone willing to help me get the Century achievement? I absolutely love this game, I have since it was first released in arcades. But I simply don't have the time to get legitimately good at it again. Shoot me a message or add me on LIVE if you're willing to help, thanks in advance.
P.S. - NightStalker, keep preachin' it for us old schoolers ;) classic arcade games will never fade! |
