One chance. One bullet. Make it count.
Sniper Elite V2 is, of course, the sequel from Rebellion to the Xbox original Sniper Elite. Described by 505 Games and Rebellion as a WWII shooter "set in the dying days" of the global conflict, there is a rather interesting pre-order incentive available for the title: a chance to kill Hitler.
Anyone who places a pre-order prior to May 4th with any retailer will receive access to the "ultimate single player mission". Here's the blurb and a couple of renders from the exclusive content:
You have one chance to change history – intel has been received that Hitler is returning from Berchtesgaden to Berlin via his personal train. Players must intercept the train as it waits at the station and take down the Fuhrer as he hastily makes way for the station on foot. In addition to the extra level, players will receive access to two new weapons in the form of a Soviet semi-automatic battle rifle SVT-40 and the German standard service rifle, the Kar 98.
The title launches in May 2012 with no specific date attributed. We can guess and assume from the pre-order cut off date, however, to see this by the end of the second week of May. As always we have a wealth of back content for you to read up on in the meantime.

In any event I didn't even know this game existed until this info hit.
I added it to gamefly and I'm super excited. I know I will have to buy the add on in the future but I'm good with that. |

| As german i must say....omg. It´s a part of our history, the darkest chapter ever, but is it this realy the dream of everybody to kill Hitler in a video game? I don´t want to kill Saddam, Bin Laden or other of these people in a game. Don´t like this much. |

| I don't know if I'm gonna get this game. I was sure about getting it when I thought it was an Arcade Game but I know now that it's a retail game and might not be worth $60. Depending how the multiplayer is and how hard the achievements are will decide it for me. I'm tired of buying games where I play once and never touch again... |

I doubt it has a self-destruct code that starts after the first time you play it! |

Having said that, I wouldnt mind trying to put one between his eyes...It's probably NOT going to be easy, and it should be a challenge...which is really what I think this is all about...The Ultimate Goal of WWII that never came to fruition...until now!
The second quote is real testament to our educational system...He should go back to his High School and smack his History teacher!
