Should I buy Alan Wake's American Nightmare? Or Buy Gotham City Imposters? Both are arcade games I've wanted since they have been released but I am unsure of which is worthy of buying now and holding off on the other till later. I'm thinking of going with Alan Wake due to more meat and bones and gameplay story. Though Gotham City Imposters has more replay value and is light hearted.

Anyone's words and opinions are appreciated.

First thing that comes into my mind is that one is entirely MP ( GCI ) While the other is Single player. Personally I would go for Alan Wake.

Why not give the trials a go ?

I was in the Gotham City Imposters beta and enjoyed it.

I didn't find the appeal in downloading the trial for Wake as it would be a tease/pointless to do so. I beat the first game and one of the DLC episodes (even though I have both) and had fun with it.

Well it's still something you have to decide yourself mate. GCI has probably a lot more replay value like you said and that alone could be a reason to buy it. I heard that it takes about 5 hours to beat the new Alan Wake ( story ) so it's pretty damn short. There is an arcade mode stuck into it to make it last longer but it's still short. So CGI probably gives more for your buck. It comes to personal preferences really, I personally can't be arsed with a MP heavy game like GCI...

Gotham City imposters will have longer replay ability due to the multiplayer....a multiplayer that you probably won't be playing after a few months of purchase. Alan Wake will have a good campaign, but no replay ability.
Why so blue Panda Bear?

Alan Wake, hands down. Once you get done with it you will want to play the retail game as well.
