Quick! Somebody call Rick!
Up until now, we've been covering Telltale's The Walking Dead very cautiously. It hadn't yet been confirmed for Xbox LIVE Arcade, and Telltale has given the 360 the cold shoulder before with some of their other games, like the episodic Back to the Future stories. However, the developers assured us that the game would be made available for "all major gaming platforms" which sounds a lot like "360, PS3, and PC".
Fortunately, we can now stop assuming. Telltale has confirmed the game for our favorite downloadable service, and they've also set a release window. The zombie hordes will shuffle in this April with the first of five episodes in the game. No pricing has been announced yet, but we'd expect that news to come soon. Many of us, myself included, are curious as to what type of game this will actually be. Telltale is known for their unconventional gameplay. Look for The Walking Dead this spring and look for our continuing coverage as we near the release. |

Despite Jurassic Park's luke-warm reception, I do mostly love Telltale Games. And Walking Dead is great - comics and TV series - so I'm caustiously optimistic for this. |

What type of game? A button mashed prompt game, duh.
It just pisses me off that telltale got these rights.
*show spoilers ahead if you are behind*
Anyway I think the back end of the season got better but as I said before very predictable. I said months ago that the farm would be over run with zombies in the finale and judging by the previews I was right.
The show really needs to become less predictable next season.
Although I didn't see Rick killing Shane .... So. |
2 jobs, 10 hour days, 6 days a week and I still destroy games. |

| The comic's fairly decent but I thought the TV show was pants. As such, this game'll have to be good for me to pick it up. |

| 5 downloadable episodes? Maybe I'll wait for a disk of all the episodes like with Jurassic Park. |

| The show is great. Been following the comic since the begining. I fear this will be overpriced but I probably won't care, lol. |

I'm a huge fan of the series, both the comic and the show. I will no doubt get this on release day, which I believe will be a first since I usually wait for DLC to be on the DotW. I was just a little concerned though that after the 5th episode that they will release a disc for half the price I paid.
With that said, I hope its not 1200 msp. For $15 an episode, the whole package would run you $75. |

| I just hope they don't try to follow the series and try to make this original. Most games that are made based on films / TV shows never seem to great. |
If at first you don't succeed; Call it version 1.0 |

It's amazing how many people think the Walking Dead is about a TV show. It was (and still is) a comic YEARS before it got on the air. I'm not a comic fan, but I've read every Walking Dead comic since I saw it a few years back at a stand. Amazing amazing amazing.
As for a game, I'm not convinced yet. Even the show is not quite as good, but it's getting there. |
