Since a console isn't really a console until its received a port of Dragon's Lair
Most of you have probably at least heard of Dragon's Lair. The Don Bluth-animated tale featuring the quest (and many, many deaths) of Dirk the Daring has been released on many forms of media since its original release in 1983 as a laser-disc powered arcade game. Yes, from CDs, to flash carts, to just about everything else, if there was a viable platform for Dragon's Lair to land on, it almost certainly saw a release.
For those of you who are somehow unfamiliar with the game, Dragon's Lair puts Dirk the Daring in a variety of death-defying situations as he races to save the lovely Princess Daphne. The gameplay involves the player watching some beautifully animated scenes and picking which direction Dirk should leap to in order to get to safety based on an on screen prompt. Move too slowly, however, and the result will not be kind to our hero
What will be unique to the version of the title that is coming to XBLA thanks to Microsoft and Digital Leisure is that you will be able to use either the Kinect or the standard controller. With Kinect Support, the game will give you prompts as to what motion you'll need to pull off to get through your current obstacle.
In case you'd forgotten what the game looked like in the years that have passed since the last version of Dragon's Lair you played, here are some screens from the title:

At this time, no release date or pricing information has been revealed.

| Please no Space Ace. I used to play part 2 in the arcade so much I had the game memorized. I would beat it without dying and people would watch it like it was a movie. Never was good at the first. Can't wait to play this. Memories, lol. Ill beat it this time. |

>>With Kinect Support, the game will give you prompts as to what motion you'll need to pull off to get through your current obstacle.<< Just as Don Bluth always intended... minus the laser beam to zap you if you miss the dodge.
I can only think the most complicated achievement would be "Witness Every Death". Man what a grind... |
I have not yet begun to procrastinate! |

wow i remember these games on the amiga , it was really just a graphical marvel at the time as the gameplay was simply pressing a certain direction at the PRECISE time and its quite stressful and slightly weird if remember rightly...Now with kinect, how the times have changed... |

| Never played this one. Think I was too young. By the time I've seen this game I thought it looked boring. Kinect should make it fun though |

I've been waiting to see Dragon's Lair on the XBLA since I bought a 360 so I'll definitely be purchasing this.

Dropped an insane amount of money on this game as a kid. First day buy regardless of price. "Lead on, adventurer. Your quest awaits!" |

| I wondered if this would ever be released on the 360. Kinect support is a nice bonus. |
