See the free weapons in action
Three days ago, we brought you news of two weapons and two multiplayer maps that would be released as free DLC for Ninja Gaiden III. The Eclipse Scythe and Moukinsou will give players more options at both long and short range, whereas Submarine and Desert give two new backdrops for those tense multiplayer battles.
Tecmo KOEI and Team Ninja have since released a trailer showing all four new items in action. Take a look:

The DLC still does not have a release date. Keep an eye on our regular weekly DLC roundups for news of its release. |

| They want to be releasing it soon because I don't want to be stuck with the crappy DS for Master Ninja, that said with the looks of things the game will be a breeze ocmpared to its predecessors :( If I have the Scythe to use for the missions etc i'll be less inclined to trade it in ASAP for maximum credit towards DMC HD Collection. |

Some of the terrible 3 and 4/10 reviews say the game is so bad that if you beat NG 2 on normal, you should start this one on Master Ninja straight away.
I am pretty sure they added a level higher than Master this time, but the game is easy apparently! |

We need a TRAILER for DLC...
That is FREE...
That was announced not even a WEEK after the game released...
Am I the only one that finds this a little excessive? |

| I read here(http://www.siliconera.com/2012/03/20/free-ninja-gaiden-3-wea...) that April 3rd will be the release date for the Talons and Submarine map. The Scythe and Desert map will be released April 17th. |

To me it feels like your actual control of combos has been significantly reduced. I'm excited to have the eclpse scythe back though. |

Haven't played it yet, but getting it tomorrow when it comes out here in the Nethers.
OT: Big fail that they removed all "secondary" weapons in the main game. Minor "win" that they're bringing some of them back as free DLC (I just hope they won't only be available for MP)...
But, why the F do I see both Doku and Alma in this trailer?!? Do they appear in single player mode?
From all I've heard so far, it's not only bad enough that they removed dismemberment...
not enough that they removed all other weapons except your primary sword...
not enough that they've removed the most awesome addition of 2, the OT...
not enough that they've removed weapon upgrades...
But now they're reusing bosses from the first game?!?!
Bosses that already had multiple forms in the original game!
Bosses that could already be fought in 4 (seriously, FOUR) other games(!!!) (NG, NG:B, NG:S, NG:S+ (Sigma Plus... wtf!), and Alma even in five games, if you include the NG:DS or NG:B versions of Nicchae).
What the F!
I don't care about a proper plot or compassionate characters in my Ninja franchise. Just give me new enemies to fight with new strategies to discover!
I know, I rant. I'm still getting it, tho :) |

The multiplayer death matches are awesome! spent a while playing last night.
As for the single player game, it does seem a tad easy and repetitive, played through the first 2 levels, enjoyable enough but a little watered down. |

| Gametrailers gives it a 7.7 out of 10, I can't take IGN serious when they give a game about babies on the Wii a 7/10 when they only give this a 3, so far from what I seen of the game doesn't look bad at all and this has apparently the best story out of the whole series. |

This game sucks BALLS... All the fiends reused LOL.
It went from a game I was getting day ONE to a game that due to Shitty reviews,Apparent lack of difficulty,the zooming in slows down the flow of combat,One Ninpo...ONE FUKIN NINPO?!? and IMO the most aggregious offense of them all is the bane of my existence PoS Quick Timing Events...god I despise them.
I dont really know why they made this game since it has been made already and seemingly better , It was called Ninja Blade and the developers def seem to be a fan of that game since they made it a second time. I knowI havent played it (Ninja Blade or NG3 for that matter) Im just so pissed that EVERY time I see a trailer or review for that matter it reaffirms how SHITTY this game is,I SO wanted this game to be good. *SAD FN PANDA*
^ to TakashiDemon above, To say this has the best story out of the Ninja gaiden games is nothing to boast about , They are HORRIBLE plots...IMO traditionally if your playing NG for the story your doing so for the wrong reasons,but even if that is the case I've not read one review that says the story is actually good in any way.

Clearly they should have included these in the game, or at least released them on launch day.If iI remember correctly the developers always touted having only the dragon sword as a positive for the game instead of multipe weapons, Saying they wanted the sword to be the main focus of the combat. Maybe I'm incorrect but thats what I recall. This to me seems like they wanted to try stop the hemmoraging of bad reviews they are getting so decided to release "free DLC" which they originally meant to sell. |

| The free DLC is great but I was surprised that they made the difficultly from skillful player to button masher it's a shame but it's not completely ruined the series. Some people may prefer that and will want to give the game a try. |

| Okay people, I have already beaten the game and I can say it's not worth $60. If you can get it for $30-$40 then yes. It is still fun, but a lot shorter than 2. My guess is because they added multiplayer to keep people playing the game. All the fiends that you are seeing in this video do not appear in the game. They are for the trials only. The multiplayer is fun once you get used to it. Overall I would say 7/10 is pretty spot on for this game. IGN can lick my nut sack. |
