Anyone getting this game along with Bayonette on Jan. 5? I pre-ordered both games from Gamestop. An awesome way to start the new year with two good games...2010 could be the best ever for the amount of quality big release games coming this year.  |

I almost did. I mean I was really close and almost had the clerk at Gamestop charge my debit card for both games. But I knew if I got both that I would rush through one game to play the other hehe. I didn't want to do that so I just bought Bayonetta and I'm loving it. It may not be challenging to some people, but Bayonetta is the first game that I can say has given me any sort of challenge in a very long time. I can't wait to open up the harder difficulties.
As far as 2010 being the best year for games, I totally agree. Just the games being released for the 360 in the first quarter of this year alone warrants a purchase of the 360 console itself IMO. |

| Darksiders is excellent. God of War meets Zelda is an excellent way to put it. Someone mentioned in a review that it was God of War plus Portal, but that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. This is a must play, the only problem is that replay value is low. Playthrough on Normal to get the achievements, then play through one more time to get Apocalyptic. Then take it back to get 25 bucks trade in value. |

Play Apocalyptic now. You're gunna be pissed if you don't lol. The game is very easy.
I guess I am the only person that didn't care much for Darksiders. I just can't past the idea that there nothing original about the game. The story was excellent though, I'll give it that. Oh, and War is badass so I definitely dig the character. Of course I did play Bayonetta prior to Darksiders and Bayo blows DS away IMO. That could be why I'm seeing DS for it's faults rather than its merits. |

Me and kingnothing were looking at the game, and literally every single thing that War does, Kratos does. Pretend he has chains around his arms, and do an attack. When he jumps in the air and spins, Kratos does that. When you button mash x, look at how the sword swings around him and smacks the ground. Looks like the chains right? What about the finishers? Very God of War-esque. Maybe I'm just imagining things, but isn't the drawing of the game almost identical to GOW2? Nonetheless, it's a good game. You'll get a good 20 hours out of it if you look for everything.
I'm playing through on Apocalyptic now, after a run through on Normal, and it's very easy. If you collect the Abyssal Armor on any difficulty, you keep it for all other playthroughs (if you want, and yes, you do want.) so it's a walk in the park. |

I haven't played God of War, but I will one day. Maybe this new God of War collection thing they're doing will finally get me to buy a PS3. I'm sure I'll see what you're talking about when I do get to play it. It mainly reminded me of Zelda. Zelda is awesome, but I'd prefer Zeldaish things to stay in Zelda.
The Abyssal Armor is definitely nice. It looks cool and that alone is enough reason to want it hehe. I didn't play anything other than Apocalyptic, but I could tell a HUGE difference after I got the armor. I don't even know why they give modes of games names like Apocalyptic, Insanity or Nightmare anymore, especially when they allow items acquired from a previous playthrough to be used in those modes lol.
I may try to grind my last few achievements in DS out before ME2 Monday night. I started playing Bayonetta again but I'm definitely not going to finish before ME2. I'll definitely play DS again one day for the story alone though. I'm not going to spoil anything for the lurker reading this, but the ending was badass. |
