If I purchase the game through Steam, can I still get XBL achievements?

My initial assumption was "no", but now I see people saying that they bought the game on Steam and still need to provide a GFWL key. This leads me to believe it might have LIVE awareness even on Steam.

Can someone please elaborate?

Thanks!

Yes, playing on Steam still allows you to get achievements. To the best of my knowledge, the only game that had GFWL removed just for the Steam version is Osmos. So if you buy it on Steam (which I suggest you do, as they have a bundle of all DLC for $30), you will get access to LIVE and achievements.

Yes, GFWL games purchased through Steam still use Live. Steam will give you a key after purchase to use with the Live registration dialog.

Thanks very much to both of you for the responses. Going to go grab the bundle now. Too bad I missed it at $15 last week, but still a bit cheaper than getting everything individually.
