Will a screenshot of DLC soften the pain?
Deep Silver's upcoming RPG, Risen 2: Dark Waters, will not be setting sail for the originally slated May 2012 release, as the game has suffered quite a heavy delay.
With the PC version of the title unaffected, Deep Silver have attempted to soften the blow for those disapointed, with the announcement of extra content being made available for the console version upon the games release. This extra content will include the an episode known as "The Air Temple" which "features several hours of additional gameplay". Here's a quick rundown on the story behind the upcoming episode:
In this sub-plot, the hero embarks on a quest to discover the lost temple, source of air magic. When he hears rumors that his old acquaintance Eldric has been seen in Antigua, the hero knows that he needs to pick up his trail in order to find Storm Island, where the Air Temple is located.A single screenshot has also been released with the announcement of the delay showcasing a battle taking place at the Air Temple itself:

Risen 2: Dark Waters is now scheduled to set sail on August 3rd, 2012 for Europe. A new date for other regions is still yet to be announced. |

| Hopefully the 360 version will be as good as the PC version this time around, the fact that they actually delay it for consoles could mean that they actually want to pull that off. |

| This is a great thing imo, based on bugs in the first game and some of DeepSilver other games, a delay + avoiding a day one buy for a month or so is a good thing when DeepSilver are involved. Still looking forward to this though. |

Not great news...BUT, the previous launch date was right in the middle of some other great games (5/15 Max Payne 3, 5/22 Ghost Recon FS, Dragons Dogma, 5/29 Dirt Showdown, 5/31 Test Drive Ferrari), so I appreciate the relief on my budget!
Hopefully it will make the new date, as being pushed any further puts it right in the AAA title season, where it will surely die. (Borderlands 2, Halo 4, COD, MoH, etc) |
Killer Punks...all that needs to be said. |

| It's cool, polish it up. Still going to play when it finally arrives. |

I wonder if this delay is linked to The Witcher 2's fantastic reception?
If I was Deepsilver I'd be hoping TW2 wouldn't be that successful - seems strange that the PC version is unaffected (maybe to do with TW2 already being established on PC?).
Hope this gets a demo before release. |

| This probably isn't even DLC. This episode may be on the disc when the game releases and additional mean "content the pc version doesn't have" in this case. |

| Damn May went from Game of Thrones, Risen 2 and Dragons Dogma to Dragons Dogma. Very disappointing but if it makes the game better I am all for it. |

It's all the small things, that add up to the truly great things. |

| its a good thing that they realized the console version wasn't up to snuff instead of just releasing a bug filled mess |

I agree completely about the first one. Editing my previous post!!! |
