Knocking on death's door
Now that we know The Walking Dead will be coming to XBLA, the wait seems to be taking forever. We've only seen a little bit of the game in action, but these three new walkthroughs should give us a better idea of the game's choice-oriented point-and-click gameplay. Some parts can be pretty revealing of the game's first episode, so don't watch them if you want to remain totally spoiler-free.

The five episodes will play out on a monthly basis for 400 MSP each and purchasing the first game will allow you to use it as a hub to purchase future episodes as the year goes on. Telltale is known for focusing on storytelling first, and this game is no different. Many choices you make will change the game in major ways.
For example, early on you'll have to save one young boy or another. Whoever you choose, both fathers will react differently to you and may even choose to oppose you later in the game. Everything you do will have a cause and effect, Telltale says. It should make up for the unconventional gameplay many of you had issues with.
With no release dates yet, here are the names of the five episodes:
Episode 1 – A New Day Episode 2 – Starved for Help Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead Episode 4 – Around Every Corner Episode 5 – No Time LeftThough the game is still scheduled for release sometime later this month, time really seems to be running out. Unless the game finds a Friday date, it looks like it may be waiting until next month to kick off its five-part story. |

| Looks decent and quite interesting, might try it out. Not sure I want to spend 2000msp on it all though. |

| 400 achievement points for each episode? Or 200 a episode? That is the question. |

Found the achievement list online. Was wondering how they were going to deal with the achievements having a branching story. The first 3 achievements are obtained in the 3 videos at the top.
1. Out of the Frying Pan - 10G Complete chapter 1 of episode 1
2. Adventures in Babysitting - 10G Complete chapter 2 of episode 1.
3. In Your Charge - 10G Complete chapter 3 of episode 1.
4. Rock and a Hard Place - 10G Complete chapter 4 of episode 1.
5. It's Just One Bullet - 10G Complete chapter 5 of episode 1.
6. Hey, Bud - 10G Complete chapter 6 of episode 1.
7. Two Enter, One Leaves - 15G Complete chapter 7 of episode 1.
8. Everything's Going to be Okay - 25G Complete Episode 1: A New Day. |

Huge fan and critic of the show but this game looks like shit. The point and click aspect of it is a total failure. The walking dead should have been made by a game company that could have produced a fallout 3 style of gameplay.
I want to find items to help me survive, I want quests, I want to decide where to build a shelter or fort to fend off waves of zombies. I get none of that from this bullshit version. |
2 jobs, 10 hour days, 6 days a week and I still destroy games. |
