Seven languages to be available within a couple months of launch
When it comes to Windows Phone games, Microsoft seems to like to reveal upcoming titles in bunches. One of the titles the revealed in the February bunch was the ad-supported, formerly-XBLIG title, Wordament.
We now know that the game will be arriving this week on Wednesday, April 25th, and that it will continue to be supported by ads. What that means for us is that it will thankfully still be free. What was also revealed this week is that the game will also feature Language Editions, each of which will come complete with its own set of Leaderboards. When the English Language Edition launches on Wednesday, a Spanish Language beta will be released as well.
Over the next couple months, developer You vs. the Internet will roll out Dutch, Swedish, French, German, and Italian Language Editions. Each will be marked as a beta until the team feels they're ready to move out of that phase. They've also stated that they will consider other Language Editions once this set is rolled out.
The guys behind Wordament have been revealing other details about the Xbox LIVE enabled version of their game, such as the achievement list and the addition of social features, on their blog, which you can check out over here.

| And it has 200GS, I'm pretty sure it's the first free WP7 game to have that. I've been playing it for a while, and adding achievements is a nice bonus |

| I'm worried that the leaderboard achievements won't be active at launch. 1) I can't get them just for being an early adopter and 2) This seems destined to be bugged. |

| The fact that the achievement for being in the top 250 on the leaderboard will not be unlocking until two weeks after the game releases annoys me. They didn't think it would be fair to let someone unlock it just because they are the first few people to load the game up and play it. Why not award the first people to load up the game with a nice leaderboard achievement after two weeks it is going to be a pain in the ass. |

| The achievement list looks absolutely mental. But I can at least get 50% in it and I love the game, so worth it! Especially for free, they could easily have charged! |

| This is a fantastic game and I dont think the achievements are that bad... The leaderboards ones are kind of difficult but that is somewhat the point of ACHIEVING things... | Stunning game. Looking forward to the achievements on this one. There's generally in the region of 600 players on at a time so getting the full 200 maybe be challenging! |
