Okay I have been an Ensign for the last week, that unlocked around 90,000 career points. I've looked at numerous sites to find out the points needed for gunner, so far, im at 244,000 career points in ranked matches, and I've been disconnected from one match, I had about 10 matches played before I came back to this pain in the arse game a couple of months ago.
Other guides say that you lose -2500? exp if you leave games, ill have had to leave 54 games to be this far behind, by the calculations :/ nobody else I know has had to go this far.
I have pretty much lost hope of getting this really, any help on this would be appreciated |

From my experience, I have the 100 Ranked Matches won, 1000 Kills with 300,000 Career Points and 15:59:00 play time... and I still haven't gotten it to unlock...
I'm at Helmsman Rank and I hit that at 80,000 Career Points.
I'm guess either you need to also spend a lot of hours on ranked games too as well as the Career Points needed, or either you need to play more than 100 games. Or maybe it's become glitched seeing as the Developer has banished the game to rot away?
Hell knows... Capcom isn't even decent enough to share the requirements needed for Gunner Rank. The guides on every site are false due to the fact that no one knows what the hell to do!
Keep going mate. You're not the only one with this crappy issue. lol

This is a ridiculous achievement especially as everyone seems to have their own unique problems with earning it. |

The rank isnt solely based on your DNF %, it includes how well you did in the match and whether or not you did the objective. Kill/death, posts taken(very important in data post battle), VS destroyer/destroyed, Win/lose (or what place you were in elimination), Finish/not finish are all factor. the reason people include finishing matches is because it is the easiest to do. what i did was i rarely got into VSs unless it was a durable Drion.
I never didnt finish a match and my K/D in team elimination is above a 1.0. i also take as many posts as possible and It still unlocked around 130,000. 90,000 seems like an estimate for someone who regularly goes 5.0 in matches and earn MVP every match. |

I got the achievement yesterday.
Matches 121
Online pts(not overall) 121963
Win ratio 0.488(stop laughing :))
I played only team elimination on small maps,none left.
I got stuck 1 rank below gunner for a while,dunno why...
Once i've got the rank of gunner the next 2 ranks came pretty fast...very strange. |
