Our first batch of sweepstakes winners!

We recently wrapped up our first Monthly Sweepstakes competition after receiving so many entries, reading through them was quite the task! However, we've completed our reading and without further ado, we have our list of winners! We asked you the following question:

Would you rather live in the world of Mass Effect or live in the world of Skyrim, and why?

Here were the best answers chosen by the panel:

First prize - A 12 month Xbox LIVE Gold Subscription - Lewis Dawg

Dragonborn, Dragonborn,
Mass Effect I do scorn,
Such a franchise just cannot compare!
And the Reavers dost rout,
For they cannot stand up,
To the Nords so mighty and fair!

Hearken now, Lewis Dawg,
To an age of dragons,
As opposed to a Star Wars rip off!
When I have 'Fus Ro Dah',
I don't need Liara,
Or that Joker/Seth Green jerk-off!

And the scrolls, have foretold,
That my heart of old,
Shall forever b'long to Skyrim's brave world!
Mass Effect, bane of this,
With lame art d'rection,
Is not a world that I can live in!

Not a day, shall arise
When I shall surmise
That I'd rather live anywhere else!
Than fair Skyrim so epic with freedom to roam!

But the rea-son I yearn,
To live in that world,
Is to call future sons Dovahkiin!
At this you might scoff,
Plus I rhymed 'off' with 'off',
But my love for Skyrim must be shared!
Second Place - 800 MSP - Big Dibs theDog

Skyrim

beer
wenches
taverns
beef dinners

cleavage and cleaving
Third Place - A years subscription to TA Pro - YeOldeLancer

Skyrim, without a doubt. How awesome would it be to live in a world where magic was real.
Boss getting in your face? Fus Ro Dah!!!
Sneak out of work early? Invisibility
Hot summer days getting you down? Blizzard
Bed cold at night? Fireball
Ok, maybe that one wasn't such a good example. Heal
Trying to hook up with that special someone? Charm
Want to change the channel and too lazy to reach 6 inches for the remote? Telekinesis
Bully picking on you and too chicken to fight for yourself? Summon Dremora Lord (brown trowsers time)

Really, the possibilities are endless.
Not to mention, if you're good enough you can steal the clothes right off of women and they don't notice.

Besides, you always thought that the world revolved around you, right? Guess what. Here it actually does.
Nuff said.
And finally our two winners of those ace Mass Effect 3 lithos are eynotie and toddycst with their following entries respectively:

I'd probably choose Skyr.....crap, a dragon just landed and killed the guy that was asking me this question. I'll answer anyways. I'd still choose....crap AGAIN---they just patched the game, and now I can only answer questions backwards. Screw this, I'll choose Mass Effect, but I have a feeling this won't end well.Skyrim because:

1. Fighting dragons is bad ass.

2. I need to bed Lydia.

3. I could take the dude that keeps trying to seduce me out into the woods and "explain" to him I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that)

4. I could show the "arrow in the knee" guy what a REAL adventurer does.

5. Fighting dragons is still bad ass.
Congratulations to all of our winners, we'll be in touch to arrange your prizes very soon! A big thanks to Flyboy80498 for donating the swag too! We'll be back soon with another Monthly Sweepstakes for May!

Seems like if you answered Mass Effect like me you had no chance of winning, the answer was Skyrim all along!

"3. I could take the dude that keeps trying to seduce me out into the woods and "explain" to him I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that)"

I'm not surprised that someone on the internet wrote something like this, but I am surprised and disappointed that it was deemed prizeworthy. Sorry, but it's unacceptable. Congrats to all the other winners, though.

I can assure everyone that there was about an equal amount of Skyrim and Mass Effect answers on the shortlist though. I am looking forward to awarding the folks that won their prizes. I was thinking the same thing. It's beyond pathetic, but typical of gamers, sadly. Who judged the winners, a 12 year-old?

Congrats to the winners!! Hey I have an idea that would make these awesome givaways even awesomer!

What if for the next one the pannel picks the top 3 prizes or however and then post the non winning shortlist entries (minus names) for us to vote on and they get the last prize!
