The Gang Wars take to Xbox LIVE
Honestly, when one thinks of the first pair of Max Payne titles, what doesn't typically come to mind is multiplayer. Given this, it was understandable that people were a little taken aback (albeit not surprised) when multiplayer was confirmed for the upcoming Max Payne 3.
Some fears were likely allayed, however, when the initial details about one of the game's multiplayer modes, "Gang Wars", were revealed. Unlike other, similar MP experiences, this one will actually contain a narrative.
Rockstar has now released their second Dev Diary about Max Payne's online component, and Gang Wars is the topic of the day.

Max Payne 3 is due out on May 15th in North America and May 18th in other markets. Don't forget the game will have a plethora of DLC, so you're going to want to look into a Rockstar Pass, too. |

| No way it all looks amazing , REALLY looking forward to the multiplayer - I can imagine spamming xp in gang wars like the hideouts in red dead. SP should be something to play between times I get bored with the multiplayer. |

| Rockstar never fail to disappoint, theyve held my trust in making games since GTA III, rockstar will always be my favorite developer, not just due to the games they make because of the amount of effort and time they put in to pleasing their customers. |

Looks kinda cool actually. If I didn't feel like another shooter (and another Rockstar game) weren't overkill in terms of my current game collection, I'd consider getting this.
But alas, I have enough shooters to play for now. |

I'll give you the multiplayer was an afterthought (and even then one or two of the coop missions were pretty cool and free-roam is what it is), but otherwise GTA IV was gold. |

History has a tendency to repeat itself. Max Payne 3 will be just another game of mediocrity. A trend in gaming when previously single player games have multiplayer added just to sell more units. Too bad. It has such potential, but then again, so did Bioshock 2, Dead Space 2, GTA IV, ME3, RE5, and many more. If anything Max Payne 3 will be a bargain bin title for me, once the complete edition with all the dlc that is sure to come hits the shelves. |

But yeah i sort of agree with you. Max payne 3 looks more like a fps in third persons, haha, nont a noir game with great, dark mood and rich plot. This is like what they did with splinter cell. Are all our heroes too old for decent gaming? |
